Why do people get mad at somebodies preferences
If a chick is 5 4' and wants a dude over 6ft. - thats just her preference - maybe her Dad was tall , or maybe she likes the feeling of being secure with a tall dude .......

It's a problem when you try to meet sistas and even the 'open-minded' ones have a MINIMUM requirement that begins at 5'10 and goes bananas at 6'0+. As a 5'7/5'8 guy, it's daunting and frustrating. Height for modern black women - at least from my experience - trumps intelligence, personality, and employment in many cases.

This whole height shit cracks me up though. My dad is 6'3 . I'm 5'10, my brother is 6'1 and my sister is 5'7. I've had girls come up to me at a party or whatever while I'm sitting down and chill with me and when i stand up they are like I thought you were taller, like that's the only reason they came to holler at me. I'm just an odd built dude with long arms and legs and no torso, so i look taller sitting down. But seriously, ladies, whats the difference between a guy 5'10 and a guy 6'0?

Dude, I'm 5'9", I don't have this problem. Some of my female friends can be taller in heels, and boots. I find them to be the best wingmen when we're out.
I've never approached a woman, and her response to my advances was, " I normally date taller men. "
An I don't crash and burn hardly at all, so it wasn't she's not telling me.

I'm a short brotha 5'8 150, but take very good care of myself. I can say for the most part height is a non issue for me. Its all about how carry and project yourself. I've gotten those females who absolutely turned me down because of my height, but on the flip side I've dated some chicks as tall as 6'1. From my experience, unless the woman is tall herself, 5'10 barefoot or greater, and she is setting height requirements, she's probably insecure about her own height and is into some selective breeding type shit. (I need a tall mate to make sure my kids are tall)
But that is what most people with die-hard, never waver from preferences are all about anyway.
Other than that, the only time height should matter is at the pre-draft physical in the NBA.
