I think you're missing the fact that for the FIRST TIME IN 14 SEASONS LeBron is going to allow a team to completely change their scheme to support another player. LeBron will probably play off the ball more and become a little more of a set up man/screener so they can maximize IT's skillset! With his Improved 3pt shot, LeBron is gonna be deadly as fuck feeding off of IT

It's crazy that the real x-factor is going to be D. Rose. If he can give them what he gave the knicks last season (without the injury at the end), the cavs will easily be better this year than last season on depth alone. I don't think this helps them against the Warriors at all but I'm just saying purely the cavs of last season vs this season.

I really don't think that means much to them. If you're building your team to beat the Warriors, you need perimeter defense. They have enough scoring and you don't really need big men to deal with the Warriors because it creates mismatches on the other end. You need two-way players that can defend the perimeter.
You were being sarcastic with this, but the assessment isnt too far off.
Both have good ball handling skills. Both score more than they play defense. Both can break down a defense. Both can drop over 20 per night. Kyrie could make the Celtics better if he passes more, and if the other guys can knock down shots. IT the same. But piling up assist aint Kyrie strong suit. Neither is it IT. So yeah...the only BIG difference is their height and 3 year age difference.
Like I stated earlier, Cavs win in this one slightly because of the draft pick alone. We dont know how the Kyrie thing is gonna work out in Boston, because of his style and his contract demands. He might want to go to another team. Who knows. IT might bounce as well. If both bounce, then Cavs got a high draft pick for basically nothing.
We can talk about what if the Nets do well, what if the rookies suck blah blah blah. But that draft pick has some weight to it. They can keep it. But some thirsty team being suckered into taking it wouldnt shock me.
Hate it or not, the EAST still belongs to any team that LBJ is on. Kyrie gone; Cavs still going to the finals, imho.

Cavs CAN'T win this trade at this point based on the unknown. No one knows what that pick will be or how that player will pan out whoever they draft, so to give them a win in this deal based on a what if makes no sense.
Kyrie is >>>> than IT on so many levels, and as I said, based on seeing him crumble last year I believe IT is a one hit wonder based on his performance last year. Kyrie has performed on the highest level, arguably made the shot that won them the chip last year, and player for player Boston won this trade and it's not even close. Now IF that draft pick turns out to be a stud this needs to be revisited, but until then Boston >>>>
Crowder is a 'nice' piece but not a player who puts the Cavs over the top in this deal.
im not over lookin him. Crowder can give u over 12 per game and he plays better than medicore defense. Never heard of the European guy. Im just typing about Kyrie and IT because those are the most notable names in the trade.
As for that draft pick. The East is PURE SHIT. So the Nets could get a bottom draft pick. I would trade it asap as well. Maybe package it with Kevin Love. Based off all these dumb contracts that were handed out after the bargaining agreement, im pretty sure some team will be thirsty and overpay for a 1st/ Love trade.

They didn't have shitty offseason because no one was rushing to help them. They're strapped with shitty contracts, a city that players don't want to go to for the most part, and then a "one year at a time Lebron" that turns some players off because they don't want to be stuck in Cleveland if he bounces. They had limited options. That's why this trade was a big win for them considering the circumstances. They got an allstar 1 coming off a 30 point season, a good two-way player that can defend the perimeter, a top 5 draft pick, and saved 30M on their cap. You're way overvaluing Kyrie and I was someone hyping him on here when a lot of people weren't. You're acting like they shipped Kyrie for Fultz straight up
Dude they had a deal on the table for PG and the Pacers management pulled it. Now IF you are telling me the tram walked into the off season with it as one of their top 5 options to trade forr a little ass one dimensional guard that would be a lie. You can't argue that no one wanted to help the Cavs and then mention the possible PG deal. Pacers pulled that deal because it was fucking stupid. Gary Harris and the 2017 13th overall pick to the Pacers was a horrible move. Someone in Indiana rightfully killed that shit.. that was a robbery
Cavs offseason was predicated by their contracts, cap space, and Lebron. Considering their situation, it's a miracle that they actually have a better team on paper and also saved 30M.
