Kobe's right: The Dream Team would lose

Fam, in 1992, Bird averaged 20.2 pts, 9.6 reb and 6.8 assists per game shooting .926 from the FT line .406 from three and .466 from the field.

I hated Bird for what he did to my Rockets (twice :hmm:) but damn, you selling him short.

I'd take him in 92 over this Kevin Love just off clutch play and Basketball IQ alone.

I'm not selling him short. I'm selling him as he was the summer of 92. By then his back was killing him. He was able to play relatively well in those scrimmages disguised as Olympic games but he couldn't do shit just a couple months prior against the Charlotte Hornets in the playoffs. The guy who roasted the Rockets was gone.
Taking a breaking down Bird because of what he used to do over a younger, bigger guy who will produce for you for years would cost you your job as a NBA GM.

I disagree. Add wade, rose, bynum, and howard to the team. Then you see lots more trouble for 92.

Can '92 get Olajuwon, Mutumbo, and Shawn Kemp? Sub out Laetner for Dennis Rodman or Mark Jackson? I could add one more (remember that Laetner beat out Shaquille Oneal for a spot on the 92 Dream Team.)

He did all of that while injured with back problems.
