KINDA GRAINY BUT STILL PRETTY GOOD TO END DEBATES

Notice how, when MJ reached 36 points he sat on the bench and didn't bother to pad his stats and try to reach 50!
Now if the roles was reversed, Kobe would have tried to hit 80! Even if he had to shoot every time his team touched the ball!

I don't reply in Kobe threads often but:

Notice how, when MJ reached 36 points he sat on the bench and didn't bother to pad his stats and try to reach 50
2 Things:
1 - It was a blowout, why would he stay in the game?
2 - Isn't it up to the coach as to who stays in a game, unless the player is tired or something else.

Some of you dudes have to learn how to debate...

First of all im MJ over Kobe fan but this vid dont say a damn thang about the debate.

1. Jordan in his Prime against Kobe as a KID. (come on man)

2. Like dude said it was a blow out.

Let the stats speak.....

If the roles was in revers Kobe would have stayed in the game, to try to get at least 50! Shit he would have busted a nut if he dropped 50 on MJ!
MJ on the other hand, had the knack 'call it class' of trying not to embarrass lesser competition by saving his A game for the real ballers and going easy on the lesser players!
Kobe is the opposite, he saves his A game for the scrubs, and when there is real competion he either fails to score or try to pad his stats in a blow out, usually its the other team blowing out the Lakers!
That's why it is hard to recall Jordan getting 50 or more against a bad team, and almost impossible to recall Kobe doing it to a good ball club!

And you know this because..................
Again, it's not up to the player to stay in a game unless the coach has some say in it.

how about jordans last year in the allstar game he hit a fade away in the closing seconds but kobe hit a 3 point or a 4 point play to send it to overtime. everyone knew this was MJ's last year the whole all star weekend was built around him (halftime show mj tv specials ect.) but tobe saw fit to try and steal the spot light that showed he had no class and no respect its a fucking allstar game that was just uncalled for, and if i remember correctly MJ sat out of overtime and i dont blame him. now rewind ten years or so earlier when it was magic johnsons last allstar game when he got in on a write in vote everyone showed him respect and class and it was a better game because of that and the end was crazy a very memorable moment.

but kobe hit a 3 point or a 4 point play to send it to overtime
:smh: Wrong, he hit two foul shots after being fouled on a 3-point shot attempt.

However, the MJ show was over-shadowed by a controversial foul by Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal that put Lakers' Kobe Bryant on the line. Bryant made two of his three free throws to force a second overtime, and the Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett's dominating performance gave the West a 155-145 victory over the East in double overtime, the first in All-Star history

Wow, i didn't know Kobe told Jermaine to foul him, I also didn't know that somehow, Kobe jumped into a ref's uniform and called a foul on Jermaine.

Hey idiot. Kobe dropped 62 against the Mavs in THREE quarters, it was a blowout and he didn't even play the entire 4th quarter.

When he dropped 81 on the raptors the lakers were losing.

As far as MJ sitting down, dude had a HOF squad. Pippen is in the HOF, and Rodman SHOULD be in the HOF. His TEAM was no joke, while Kobe's is laughable.

Magic Johnson had HIV and was out the league, but was voted into the all star game. Kobe isjust competitive, and a young Jordan would have done the same.

Thats why Kobe will always be known as a Bitch made attention Hoe!

Huh????? I don't get it. The ref called the foul. Jermain supposedly fouled kobe. KG took over in OT. All kobe did was make two foul shots to tie up the game. Now if he would have hit all 3, then your point would be valid. I'm done.

Im about as big of a Kobe fan as there is and there is no debate...

Jordan rules all....

Jordan in the twilight of his prime vs a 19 year old Kobe is not a good representation of a debate anyway.

That would be like posting how Kobe scored 42 in the first half against the Wizards with a 4 years past his prime Jordan.

He sat out the 4th quarter against the Mavs for taking flack on the Raptors game!
What Kobe did against the Mavs and the Raptors would have paled in comparison to dropping 50 against the great MJ!
I'm telling you he would have stayed in the game blow out and all just to get the notch in his belt!
He is that type of a Bitch to do such a thing, thats why he plays the Allstar game like it was game 7 of the NBA finals and game 7 like it was the Allstar game, backward motherfucker!
On the other hand MJ never tried to embarrass Magic or any other older stars when they was on the decline, he saved his best for the best!
Something that Kobe is yet to accomplish!
If Kobe was to drop 50 on Lebron or against Wade I would be impressed! But to have average games against your competition and monster games against the scrubs, tells me a lot about his game!
Note Jordan scored 60 against the Celtics, one of the all time best defensive teams ever, in the playoffs, all this with a team as bad as the current Laker roster!

Try comparing Kobe with Lebron James right now and see how far that will get you!

I said i was gone, but when you say stuff like this, i have to come back.

He sat out the 4th quarter against the Mavs for taking flack on the Raptors game!

The Mavs game was before the Toronto game.

WHAT IS THE REAL PROBLEM ,ATHOUGH ALOT OF KOBE FANS FEAL KOBE IS BETTER THAN M.J. (COMPARE THEM BOTH IN THEIR PRIMES NEVER) BUT ARE ANY OF YOU KOBE FANS PREPARED TO NAME KOBE AS GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER :smh: I REALLY DONT THINK SO, SO CASE CLOSED.

Ive always been wondering...
WHAT was Jordan telling Kobe when they were hunched by one another i wonder...when Kobe nodded his head...

BUT ARE ANY OF YOU KOBE FANS PREPARED TO NAME KOBE AS GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER
No.

WHAT was Jordan telling Kobe when they were hunched by one another i wonder...when Kobe nodded his head
he was explaining how to get a feel for the defense. I remember the interviews.

The Mavs game was before the Toronto game.

You are right, it was another game that he sat out the 4th quarter late in the season that i got mixed up with!
Actually I am not a Kobe hater and don't make it a point to follow his stats, it just this year I have noticed a trend that he seems to be scoring huge number against some of the worst teams in the NBA and how the Lakers are a better team or plays better when he takes less than 27 shot per game!
Even though he is absolutely a great one on one scorer, it doesnt seem to transcend into making the Lakers a better team!
By him not being able to elevate the play of his team mates, much the way a Michael Jordan or even a young Lebron James have shown, Kobe will always be regarded as a great scorer rather than a great all around player!

Also I call Kobe a stat hoe because during the games that he is playing weaker opponents, he has the tendency to not crash the boards, not play defense, and not pass, much less try to set up his team mates, he tends to take almost twice the normal amount of shots per game, all in the name of scoring a huge amount of points!
Now if he could be that committed about winning as a team, his over all game would be the best!

First of all get your facts straight before you go off on a tirade that starts off completely in the wrong direction. The Mavs game came first. Kobe has sat out numerous games when he was having a monster cause the game was out of reach. Kobe scored 62 in 3 quarters against the Mavs who made the finals last year. He only plays Lebron and Wade 2 times a year so its not like he gets more of an opportunity to drop monster numbers on them. Did U check the last game between Kobe and Lebron stat line..... maybe you should.

Where is the clip Nets vs Lakers when S.Marbury Schooled Kobe?
Steph dropped about 50 something on them. And the game before or after that, Kobe was schooled for another 50 something by AI.

that was 2001. stephon marbury scored 50 with 12 assists, but the nets lost anyway.

shaquille o'neal was dominant, of course. evan eschmeyer was trying to check him, and evan eschmeyer ended up playing only 15 total minutes that game and had 5 PFs.

shaquille o'neal abused him and jaime feick for 32 points, game high 14 rebounds, game high 5 blocks, team high 6 assists.

tobe scored 38 points, team high PFs, and team high TOs.

the fakers did play the 76ers the next night, but allen iverson didn't go for 50. allen iverson scored 40 points with a game high 9 assists.

tobe scored 18 points, with game high TOs and team high PFs.

Jordan Had a Better Team.........End Of Conversation fagots. How old was Kobe when That shit went down anyway 8? was Jordan 40 and Kobe waas 18 or was Kobe 12 and Jordan was 36?

Im not gonna lie.. That was an amazing performance.. Call him a ball hog but that was amazing..

tobe scored 18 points, with game high TOs and team high PFs.

Partially Correct. Tyronn Lue fouled out (leaving him with team honors in PFs), Horry had 4, and the two memebers of Shaw-Shaq Redemption had 3 each.

my point was he didnt have to take that shot or force the issue. he should have just let him have is moment, kobe was and his a young person and has plenty of years to make his mark on the nba. i have nothing against as a player but i just dont like him as person. the real debate should be MJ vs LB maybe not now but soon

He was probably tellin him that he's a great competitor. Stay aggresive. If you have to take over a game to win do it. Yall don't remember when Jordan talked about stealin the crown from Dr.J, Bird and Magic. Kobe was doin that same thing during that Allstar game. Most of you on here probably hate to lose but don't know how to win. Still ya'll on here disrespecting players of the game and couldnt bank a lay-up if yo dick was on the line. It takes a Monster to win and a un-identified BEAST to win consitantly. MJ is the best. KOBE is one of the BEST. Let the stats speak for itself and listen to the "players" who have played against both of them. All of them have said Mike is harder to DEFEND.
