2 Things:Notice how, when MJ reached 36 points he sat on the bench and didn't bother to pad his stats and try to reach 50
If the roles was in revers Kobe would have stayed in the game, to try to get at least 50! Shit he would have busted a nut if he dropped 50 on MJ!
but kobe hit a 3 point or a 4 point play to send it to overtime
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_9_103/ai_98079631However, the MJ show was over-shadowed by a controversial foul by Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal that put Lakers' Kobe Bryant on the line. Bryant made two of his three free throws to force a second overtime, and the Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett's dominating performance gave the West a 155-145 victory over the East in double overtime, the first in All-Star history
Hey idiot. Kobe dropped 62 against the Mavs in THREE quarters, it was a blowout and he didn't even play the entire 4th quarter.RoadRage said:If the roles was in revers Kobe would have stayed in the game, to try to get at least 50! Shit he would have busted a nut if he dropped 50 on MJ!
MJ on the other hand, had the knack 'call it class' of trying not to embarrass lesser competition by saving his A game for the real ballers and going easy on the lesser players!
Kobe is the opposite, he saves his A game for the scrubs, and when there is real competion he either fails to score or try to pad his stats in a blow out, usually its the other team blowing out the Lakers!
That's why it is hard to recall Jordan getting 50 or more against a bad team, and almost impossible to recall Kobe doing it to a good ball club!

how about jordans last year in the allstar game he hit a fade away in the closing seconds but kobe hit a 3 point or a 4 point play to send it to overtime. everyone knew this was MJ's last year the whole all star weekend was built around him (halftime show mj tv specials ect.) but tobe saw fit to try and steal the spot light that showed he had no class and no respect its a fucking allstar game that was just uncalled for, and if i remember correctly MJ sat out of overtime and i dont blame him. now rewind ten years or so earlier when it was magic johnsons last allstar game when he got in on a write in vote everyone showed him respect and class and it was a better game because of that and the end was crazy a very memorable moment.
Thats why Kobe will always be known as a Bitch made attention Hoe!TimRock said:Wrong, he hit two foul shots after being fouled on a 3-point shot attempt.

Wow, i didn't know Kobe told Jermaine to foul him, I also didn't know that somehow, Kobe jumped into a ref's uniform and called a foul on Jermaine.

Nobody said:Hey idiot. Kobe dropped 62 against the Mavs in THREE quarters, it was a blowout and he didn't even play the entire 4th quarter.
When he dropped 81 on the raptors the lakers were losing.
As far as MJ sitting down, dude had a HOF squad. Pippen is in the HOF, and Rodman SHOULD be in the HOF. His TEAM was no joke, while Kobe's is laughable.
Magic Johnson had HIV and was out the league, but was voted into the all star game. Kobe isjust competitive, and a young Jordan would have done the same.
Try comparing Kobe with Lebron James right now and see how far that will get you!Philli said:Im about as big of a Kobe fan as there is and there is no debate...
Jordan rules all....
Jordan in the twilight of his prime vs a 19 year old Kobe is not a good representation of a debate anyway.
That would be like posting how Kobe scored 42 in the first half against the Wizards with a 4 years past his prime Jordan.

He sat out the 4th quarter against the Mavs for taking flack on the Raptors game!
No.BUT ARE ANY OF YOU KOBE FANS PREPARED TO NAME KOBE AS GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER
he was explaining how to get a feel for the defense. I remember the interviews.WHAT was Jordan telling Kobe when they were hunched by one another i wonder...when Kobe nodded his head

The Mavs game was before the Toronto game.

What Kobe did against the Mavs and the Raptors would have paled in comparison to dropping 50 against the great MJ!
I'm telling you he would have stayed in the game blow out and all just to get the notch in his belt!
He is that type of a Bitch to do such a thing, thats why he plays the Allstar game like it was game 7 of the NBA finals and game 7 like it was the Allstar game, backward motherfucker!
On the other hand MJ never tried to embarrass Magic or any other older stars when they was on the decline, he saved his best for the best!
Something that Kobe is yet to accomplish!
If Kobe was to drop 50 on Lebron or against Wade I would be impressed! But to have average games against your competition and monster games against the scrubs, tells me a lot about his game!
Note Jordan scored 60 against the Celtics, one of the all time best defensive teams ever, in the playoffs, all this with a team as bad as the current Laker roster!
Steph dropped about 50 something on them. And the game before or after that, Kobe was schooled for another 50 something by AI.Where is the clip Nets vs Lakers when S.Marbury Schooled Kobe?
Philli said:First of all get your facts straight before you go off on a tirade that starts off completely in the wrong direction. The Mavs game came first. Kobe has sat out numerous games when he was having a monster cause the game was out of reach. Kobe scored 62 in 3 quarters against the Mavs who made the finals last year. He only plays Lebron and Wade 2 times a year so its not like he gets more of an opportunity to drop monster numbers on them. Did U check the last game between Kobe and Lebron stat line..... maybe you should.

Now if the roles was reversed, Kobe would have tried to hit 80! Even if he had to shoot every time his team touched the ball!

1 - It was a blowout, why would he stay in the game?
2 - Isn't it up to the coach as to who stays in a game, unless the player is tired or something else.
True. If thats the case, there shouln't be anymore "kobe did this, kobe did that" threads."We'll talk when Tobe gets this many rings LEADING his team"
