Kobe hints at switching to PG to extend his career

Kobe has had three 14 assists games since the all-star break.

Why?

Kobe is going to get a lot of attention on defense...

...so if he is willing to give up the ball, it won't be hard for him to rack up assists, especially with the talent that he has on this team.

Re: tobe hints at switching to PG to extend his career

here's the convoluted reasoning of a basketball dunce. verbatim february 1.

"This team needed it," he says. "In the meeting we had in Memphis we were talking about doing things that maybe we're not what we do best. What I do best is shoot, maybe passing is the best way for us to win now.

"I tried it in the seventh game of the [2006] playoffs against Phoenix," he says, while not pleased being known as the Tanker.

"I scored 50 in Game 6 and we lost. I scored like 17 in the first half, and took a gamble. I decided to pass to try and get everyone else going. It didn't work.

"I took the same gamble here and if it hadn't worked out, what would people be saying now? Kobe isn't shooting so he can prove some point?

"What I'm doing now is being selfish. I'm trying to help the team because I want to win a championship
."

people who pretend to like basketball actually call themselves fans of the sport.

:smh:

MAYBE passing is the best way to win?

tries passing ONE game in 2006 and decided it didn't work? compared to the dozens of games where chucking didn't work?

passing is being selfish.

Context, cranrab. Motherfuckerin', context!

It's a fucking gamble when your PG is Smush, your center is Kwame, and Luke Walton ACTUALLY gets playing time.

Even you can't twist those guys into quality players.

As for the rest...

...who doesn't know Kobe prefers to shoot? He's been that way his entire career, and he must do it at least fairly well. I mean, you can't pass Wilt Chamberlain in scoring being less than exceptional.

Of course, you're going to tell me Kobe is the only first ballot HOF'er, and top 5 all-time in total points who lacks talent.

He has spent the first 17 years of his career imitating Jordan. I guess he now wants to spend the rest of it imitating Lebron. He has done it a couple of games this season when Nash was out.

Why can't he be original?

Imitating Lebron how?

literacy, supremestan, literacy!

tobe referenced THIS season.

no william parker, steve nash.

no kwame brown, dwight howard.

but your rainbow legion will try to twist chucking into quality basketball, passing into being selfish, and ball movement as a gamble.

:smh:

Lebron invented the all-around game, bruh? Nobody did that before and doesn't do it now except Lebron??? :dunno:

Man, these Lebron stans are out of control.

What was Lebron's assist avg when he was with the cavs? Before he had more than just Mo Williams hanging out at the arch. Like he out there making PG moves and passes.

I never said he invented it. He is simply the best at it presently. Since I used Jordan as an example for the best scorer it is only right that I use Lebron as the player with the best all-around game.

Apples to apples.

Get it?

Lebron just learned one or two post moves a couple of years ago now he has the best all around game?:lol::lol:

You disagree that lebron has the best all-around game? :smh:

I see that you are unequipped to objectively debate this with me.

Enjoy your day.

okay I'll bite

Who has a better all around game in the league than Lebron James?

As for Kobe and this switch to PG to extend his career, this is an interesting notion.

Just recently Antawn Jamison said Kobe told his teammates that they need to yell at him to pass because he gets tunnel vision about the buckets

So for him to say this means that his circuitry would have to be rewired

Curry, let me state it a different way. Yes, Bron is the best player in the league but he can't play PG. He can't play all 5 positions like these negroes think. Just my opinion. He just learned post moves. Now he can play center? Kobe talking about running the point, now he trying to be like Bron? Really?

Kobe finally realizing the "Be like Mike, shoot it everytime" stuff is dated and played out. I applaud him for wanting to mimic Inkosi and take his game to another level. Nobody wants to JUST be a volume shooter anymore.

ah okay

to be honest I dont think he should ever play strictly PG either. Seems a waste

anyway I dont want to to hijack the topic thread

Kobe is so competitive I wouldn't put it past him. Being unselfish isn't his game, but he is so selfish he will do what it takes to accomplish what HE wants.

If the devil really did exist, the NBA player he would approach for a Faustian deal would be Kobe. Kobe has all the accolades and is hungrier than cats in the developmental league.
