KOBE: 'He The Best' - Michael Eric Dyson Makes the Case for Why Black Mamba Is the G.O.A.T.

Jordan has won a NCAA title Kobe doesn't jordan had 10 scoring titles 5time MVP 6 championships 14 time all-star had jordan never left for 2 years to play baseball that could've been even more titles and stats to add to his career not to mention had jordan entered the league straight outta high school like Kobe did let's not even mention now that he has been retired how he is currently demolishing current nba players with the money his jordan brand is making last year in 2015 he made $145 million dollars yo Dyson chill with all that bruh
Dude, not trying to be rude or funny, but add some commas and periods. That was hard to read.

Actually I would put Kobe ahead of Wilt, LeBron and Oscar.

Wilt changed the game the NBA even widened the key because of Wilt. But Wilt lost how many times to Russell? Wilt only won 2 titles. Oscar won only one. Damn even Bird had 3 rings.

The thing is its almost impossible to agree on a top 5.

You gotta be kidding me. Kobe won one MVP. One. You put him ahead of a four time winner in Lebron, a man who averaged a triple-double for a whole season, and a man who averaged 50 points in a season? Man, you sound like you know nothing about the NBA.

But what if some of those guys came out and said Kobe was better than them? Should we take their opinion or ESPNs? Should we take the opinion of people who actually played with an against him, or the opinion of some dude who just sat at home and watched?

And don't say they are just being modest, because we've seen several players come out and say that they didn't think certain players were better than others.

I don't even understand this.

I only mentioned his NCAA title because it's just one more accomplishment he has over a player who came to the league straight outta high school. Winning an NCAA title isn't easy to say the least. As far as the commas and periods sorry bruh I had just woke up

I would not include Wilt in the top 5 top 10 maybe. How many times did he fold up in championship rounds? Even Willis Reed (with only one good leg) managed to defeat him and the Lakers.
Kobe folded twice in finals. Lost to a mediocre Pistons squad and was in the lottery and 8th seed first round loss in his prime.

The top 5 are nearly unanimous to the informed. It's only the unlearned who struggle to agree on it.

Kobe aint top 5. Period.

Mediocre pistons........smh
He also won two rings in his prime.

You said this

Magic called Kobe the greatest Laker ever. Hence, my reply.

lol. Magic was fucking around. Wasn't that during a contract dispute or something? He wouldn't put Kobe ahead of Wilt and Kareem, not to mention himself, no matter what he said to the media.

I wont do it. He can't make that strong of an argument for me to read all that. Did you say 'Eric Dyson' GTFOH

No. He said it several times. So did Shaq. So have some players in the league. So again, whose opinion should we take?

Yes. Mediocre. Title team with no 1st team NBA players, and not one player in top 75 all time...arguably not even one guy in top 100. When has that ever happened? And again, the guy missed the postseason in his prime. And had multiple finals where he shoot in the 30%'s. Not top 5. Not even debatable.

Somebody get this old muthafucka his meds
Yea, somebody get em.. Amajor droppin truth bombs again...

Totally agree.

But Tobe singlehandedly lost them that series by hijacking the offense, gunning out Snack, and getting owned by Tayshaun Prince.

Yeah he did. Agreed... but I think he was just trying to run Shaq out at that point. Kobe alright with me over that shit though

lol oscar paved the way for all of the guards on the list you're trying to say is over him
the nigga actually created the fade away jump shot
how a nigga that created the shit 2 other people on the list made a staple of their careers on ain't in the top 5?
as a player? come on now.

and yea he has 1 ring. it wasn't because he wasn't doing everything he could
and then if you argue it was because of kareem and kareem is the reason cool
he left
and that same team with kareem but minus him didn't even make the playoffs

im out

That Pistons team beat the bucks, nets and pacers. Indiana was the one seed. How many hall of famers are on that team? How many all stars? Same for the nets.

They win 54 games that year. One of, if not the top defensive teams ever. And then they got back to the finals the following year. Granted they lost. But to say that the team was mediocre.... And who did the Pistons beat that second year?

Sometimes you niggas forget you talking to a old nigga.. Bro, that Bucks team was awful. Led by a mediocre one dimensional Michael Red and a 35 year old Toni Kukoc. Nets had Kidd and Kenyon Martin. Pacers were led by a 40 year Reggie Miller and Jermaine Oneal... A terrible field. East was trash. And to answer your question, one hall of famer in the lot still in his prime. Jason Kidd.

Again, name another title team with zero first team all nba players and not one player in top 75 all time.. maybe not top 100. That Piston team was mediocre. Sorry.

Do you seriously believe that the negative aspects of Kobes career outweigh his accomplishments?
Not at all. Great player. Top 15. My points are being made to illustrate that he isnt top 5 all time.

That old Miller and O'Neal got them the best record in the East. But yet, they lost to a mediocre Pistons...right. Why were none of these teams able to beat this mediocre team? And they didn't even have home court throughout.

Ben Wallace also has the fifth best defensive ranking all time

Suprisingly weak points by Dyson..big time Kobe fan but calling GOAT is silly...hate to admit it but Pierce outplayed him in 2008 finals...Gasol was the real finals MVP in 2010 and more arguably, the year before...article skips over Gasol in Kobe's second go-round....Piston's played on his ego and he fell for it in 2004...great, great player...not GOAT

Look here man, the east was trash. If thats what won it that year then you make my point for me... 40 year old reggie, jermaine, jamal tinsley, etc.. 3 teams finished over 500 that season. THREE. Are you fucking serious!!! Again, the more you talk, the more you make my point. It was a terrible field.

Wrong.

Also, the East sucked for years. That's not an excuse.

Excuse? Whos talking about excuses muthafucka im talking about the truth! The field stunk! This is fact. 15 teams and 3 over 500. Thats fucking abysmal. That goes to the heart of the argument when you wanna point to Detroit winning 50+ games. Mediocre.

It was 4. Detroit, Indiana, Miami and Jersey. But whatever... Your entitled to your opinion.

Ok, just checked. Miami won 42 games to literally end up ONE game over 500..

Point remains.. East stunk.

Detroit beat a bunch of 30 win teams... And of the two other teams in the east with winning records the Pistons were 3-5.

Mediocre.

Id put up that 2004 Pistons squad against any other team that isn't a bull team.

Im sorry

NOBODY is getting off the block from Rasheed then going into another block in Ben Wallace.

Not possible

Ask Kobe Wade Kidd Lebron and bosh

Ask my nigga eewwll and self science too
