First, an immediate disclaimer!! I am not a Knicks fan. However, as a 'basketball aficionado', I enjoy good basketball games relatively free of turmoil. The New York fans deserve it, as well as, those of us who love the game.

Knicks GM & president of basketball operations, Donnie Walsh made his first major personnel move going in the right direction by amassing a group of players that will compliment each others skills. In addition he's providing coach Mike D'Antoni with the type of players he needs to be successful, plus players who want to play for him. Yesterday and today, Walsh traded Jamal Crawford (G), Zack Randolph (C), and Mardy Collins (G). Enter Al Harington (F-Warriors), Cuttino Mobley (G-Clippers) & Tim Thomas (F-Clippers).

A good trade for all teams. Golden State rids itself of a player on the 'outs' with Don Nelson (deja Vu w/ Chris Webber); the Clippers get bigger underneath; and the Knicks get players more in the mold of what D'Antoni needs, plus much needed 'cap' space for the LeBron James sweepstakes in 2010.

The Pistons? We hope McDyess returns to strengthen our bench.:(

i am happy that randolph is gone....

but why jamal?

he was never a problem, and he worked his ass off for us.

he was a good dude. it is a business....but wlash is screwing us over, i can feel it....i feel like we will lose the people we need to lure a big name to our city. we would have to pull a cletics to make anything be a success is 2010.

While both players have their shortcomings, neither one of them is a "head case". They both show up to practice EVERY day. Both want very badly to win. Neither one is ever in trouble with the law (Zack gotta stay out the strip club though). The Knicks only have one real head case and he proved it at last nights' game by not going in when the coach asked him to

I'm a little disappointed in Marbury but at the same time I can see where he is coming from.

I guess his view is that if he plays and puts up good numbers - they'll just find a way to ship his ass to another team willing to take him on.

Maybe the NBA players - at least the Knicks were tired of being seen as stock that could be traded when their value increased - that is one way to view Marbury's actions.

His being a head case damn did not start with not playing this season. Less not forget him WALKING OUT on the team in the THIRD game of the season last year when Isiah tried to do the EXACT same thing D'Antoni is doing now. At least Isiah wanted to still utilize the dude. Just coming off the bench

that should be his desired outcome, not what he is avoiding.

his problems with the knicks will never be resolved: new head coach, new GM. so why not welcome a trade to a different team where he can be happy? unless he already knows nobody wants him?

All it did was provide ANOTHER reason for teams NOT wanting him....at any cost!:smh:

He just didn't fit into D'Antoni's system---even if he averaged 100pts/per. Plus, Mobley--a much better fit--will more than adequately replace him. More 'team-oriented', better scorer.

Where in the blue hell have you been?

This puts QRich at the 2. The Knicks will have a big lineup. Where they get fucked is they have no real post player anymore.

How pissed must Marbury be? They only had 8 players and needed him to suit up..and they STILL didn't play him..lol

^^^^whats gud mah jigga!!!!

college kickin a brutha's ass....home 4 the holidays

and yu right....but damn, these 2 years may be the longest wait ever...but if it makes us like the celtics, im willing to wait.

D'Ant asked Marbury if he wanted to play 30-35 minutes, and in true unprofessional fashion, Marbury turned it down. But he still didn't cause the same ruckus he did last season. If Richardson plays the 2, he will get slayed on defense. He has to guard SFs only. ALthough under D'Antoni, he's getting his 3PT shot back. FOr two seasons, he could not BUY a 3PTer in NY

d'antoni has thomas and richardson back, who he used well in phx.

runawayslave, you hit it right on the head.

quentin couldnt hit a three if his contract depended on it last year.
