Klobuchar, why not?

I'm voting for anyone not Trump. Almost every single person running has something that is going to be considered offensive to black folks.

But what about Teanna Trump ??? :rolleyes2::rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

they're starting to critically look into her time as a Prosecutor.
at least Sunny Hostin is...

Following an opening segment that contained mostly softball questions about the state of the Democratic primary race, the show turned things over to co-host Sunny Hostin after a break.

Noting that “you need African-American support to become the Democratic nominee,” Hostin told Klobuchar, “Your tough on crime approach when you were a county attorney in Minnesota is criticized for disproportionately harming black and brown people, and when I look at that record, you know, you failed to prosecute a single killing by the police during the eight years you headed prosecutions, and there were more than two dozen police-involved killings in that period.”

“How do you defend that record?” Hostin asked.

Hostin proceeded to bring up Klobuchar’s prosecution of 16-year-old Myon Burrell, a black teenager who is now serving a life sentence for murder despite evidence that suggests he could be innocent.

“It gives me no pleasure to say this because as you know, I was a prosecutor as well,” Hostin said. “I have reviewed the facts of that case, and it is one of the most flawed investigations and prosecutions that I think I have ever seen.” As the mother of a black teenager, she called the case her “worst nightmare.”

I mentioned this in a another thread.

Not sure what people you are talking about, but Here is a list of people that said the same thing about Trump. They were the only one that could beat him. How did that work out? If you want to call me stupid just go ahead. IDGAF.

Honestly....the people are too stupid to vote Trump out....picking people who have zero chance
"Biden" is the ONLY one in the primary that can beat Trump.....period

Provide a real substantial, even if not original reason we shouldn't support her, other than she has been over aggressive with African Americans in regard to criminal justice. Absolutely every one of them has. Of course there could be revelation bomb dropped on any of them. Until or unless that happens ...

Original like what concerning Amy? Things will come to light no matter what for anybody running for office. What you ask of me with that statement is impossible to satisfy........

Klobuchar has the charisma and presence of a houseplant. Plus, she literally abuses her staffers as a matter of record on some low key hilarious shit. She's basically a "Karen". No one wants a Karen as POTUS. At least Warren, for all her terrible political instincts, is likeable and clearly a gunslinger when it comes to execution at an operational level. If nothing else I would LOVE if Warren got an important appt at the cabinet or VP level.

And OP, I haven't read the thread like a true asahole but if you're being sincere look into how she railroaded that young teenage brother while she was a prosecutor in MN. :smh:

I'm voting for anyone not Trump. Almost every single person running has something that is going to be considered offensive to black folks.

Klobuchar: Job as prosecutor
Biden: crime bill, friends with segregationists and Anita Hill
Bloomberg: Stop and frisk
Bernie: crime bill, framing black issues dismissively as identity politics, and his racist ass supporters.
Mayor Pete: issues with black citizens and police force in his town.

I don't know if Warren has any issue but Trump will run her heritage into the ground. Trump is a grave danger. He's hurtful to individual groups and America as a whole. He needs to be stopped. Yet we will still have folks saying candidate Xyz isn't exciting enough to get their vote.

If you aren't pissed and willing to vote for whomever becomes the nominee, you aren't paying attention. After his acquittal, he's not only criming out in the open, he's naming his accomplices with no fear.
Im riding with Warren. That heritage nonsense is played out.

I've replied to everything you mentioned, so yeah read the thread, or not.

Meh, I might check it later but politics threads (especially on BGOL) are honestly exhausting. No hate OP! But sincerely, Klobuchar has absolutely no chance... I can't even imagine how you summoned the willpower to create this thread in the first place (again no diss you seem like a good dude).

I know reading is hard for some people still.....

Damn u disrespectful lol :roflmao3:

I'm out here being tongue in cheek and congenial and shit and you still feel some kind of way haha. Bruh... Klobuchar. Has. No. Chance. Save this post and come back to it on Super Tuesday my dude. Trump won bc he tickled the racist/nativist bones of a lot of simple minded folks in America and our shit is gerrymandered af (to speak nothing of social media & Russian fuckery). Klobuchar has nothing up her sleeves at all... she can't throw a stapler at a voter's head or force a voter to eat a salad with a comb like one of her staffers.

This is who I'm hoping wins. I actually donated to her campaign this week. I'm voting for whomever gets the nomination tho. Trump needs to go. As soon as he is out, IF it happens, we need to get legislation in place so all this fuckery can't happen again. That means not just the presidency, we have to keep the house and take the Senate as well, and for more than one term.

My worry is that all these tax cuts etc are going to hit the fan and things collapse just as dems get in, and they get blamed for things going south or having to make the hard decisions and get voted out again because people are stupid. It happens every time.

I'm not convinced things will go smoothly. Black folks are being heavily targeted with propaganda, no telling what nonsense has been coming at them in those states for the past year.

Like you, I meant no disrespect. I said "some people". It doesn't mean you necessarily. I'm the first to admit she is a long long shot. If you believe she has no chance tell me why not. If that's too much....

Does Warren still have a chance, what about Biden? Who are you pulling for? Has anyone put up a thread for them?

Damn u disrespectful lol :roflmao3: Klobuchar. Has. No. Chance.
P.S. I won't delete this thread so it'll probably be here.

I see your cyniscm and will raise you sis... I don't know for sure that elections will even matter in the final analysis. I'm a history studying ass nigga. We are in the midst of actual authoritarianism rn. What will election results matter to a POTUS and Senate that basically announced a monarchy a week or two ago? "Everything is legal so long as POTUS feels it's in the best interests of the nation"... brought to you by a dude who couldn't concede he was wrong about a weather map. We're deep into it now. I'll vote and hope that the machines are accurate, that the racially targeted voter suppression doesn't knock off thousands of crucial votes, that the vapid "both-sides!-ism" doesnt further depress turnout etc but it's going to take a massive popular movement to change things. Here's hoping for the best

Yeah. Our democracy hasn't been tested like this in a minute.

Did you watch Maddow tonight? She had Timothy Snyder on tonight. One of the things he said was not to start thinking that stuff doesn't matter and demobilizing. It's basically conceding power. It's like these folks around here trying to get black folks not to vote because nothing matters. I can't say I won't ever get to that point, but right now I'm resisting getting bogged down in hopelessness.

I didn't see Maddow, and truth is I rarely watch her. I've had to cut back on my intake of political discourse, because it is so maddening. The messaging to black folks has been off the charts this cycle. I can't believe it. I fear a backlash that could play into the GOP's hands. No one knows how it will play out but, the stakes seem way way higher than ever before.

Seriously

Will check it out, thanks! No doubt that he's right about authoritarians leveraging apathy to demobilize civic participation. I'm still gonna vote but given how far out to sea we are here and how few ppl even recognize we're no longer on land... I have very little confidence that these elections will unfold freely and fairly. Fingers crossed tho

The replay is on now. Seriously, the entire show was good. She did two interviews. I recommend watching it. If I remember I'll post the segment.

The same people who don't vote, tell others that their vote doesn't matter, etc...are the same peope who will say somebody needs to do something. In otherwords they are a bunch of side liners always complaining but unwillingly to do anything about it their damnselves, but also want to set the agenda. Fuckem' is what I say.

I don't know Klobuchar, nor have I ever had any contact with her campaign. All I'm saying is given the other candidates (socialist, homosexual, shape-shifter, billionaire) natures, I'm more than willing to entertain voting for her, even in a primary.

So she's ugly. I don't give AF, and neither should anyone. Reagan was purported to be a handsome man, and the same was said of JFK. So what if it helps them get your the panties off. Politically it shouldn't mean shit. Focusing on a person's attractiveness only sets you up to be a simp. Why do you think attractive people are encouraged to be in sales. MFs get distracted by looks and miss the switcheroo, or ohkeydoke until after the deal closes. I know that superficial veneer is important to other folks, but I'm not the one. It sounds like you are. Go ahead and vote for the one that make you wet.

I understand that Charisma can be a factor, but it plays an outsize role. Why can't we focus on their prospects to implement policies that will make our lives better? What does it matter if the woman isn't the life of the party like Cardi B, Lizzo, or even Kim K. Some would argue that Angela Merkel is and Margaret Thatcher was an effective leader. Its just too much to ask of the average american voter to be pragmatic.
That's the problem. There is how the world should and there is how the world is. In a perfect world, the humanoids would care about policies. They'd demand results. In reality, they want soundbites and rockstars.

Average American voter ain't shit. The presidential election is always like a middle school student council race.

I wish you were wrong, but you aren't. All I can do, (and I have to believe its not in vain) is to keep trying to convince people to see past the shiny veneers, smoke and mirrors, and blubbery barking seal circus acts. We should all inform ourselves of the issues as well as candidates, and make the most intelligent decision we can on who to support or bestow with executive power.

Another one...
Amy Klobuchar Drops Out of Presidential Race and Plans to Endorse Biden

Ms. Klobuchar made her decision hours before Super Tuesday. She shocked the primary field with a third-place finish in New Hampshire, but ultimately could not compete with better-funded rivals.
