In order to win somebody got to lose, I played ball all my life as well and when your winning its great but when your losing it sucks, however at the end of the day its about being a good sport and being humble. A security guard at my work told me a story of how he ran into Lebron in an elevator about 4 months ago. A father and his young (7ish) year old daughter was also in the elevator. The security guard (who was in plain clothes) asked Lebron if he could take a photo with him. Lebron said no, which the security guard was cool with. The father asks if he could get an autograph for his daughter. Lebron turns to his friend he was with and says "You believe this ?" Turns to the father and says "No".

No. I played basketball and anyone who started out as kids back at the YMCA they let it be know after you lose you go shake the winners hands. The coach tells you to stop crying wipe those tears and shake hands.
They are trying to install good sport ethics in you at a young age.
Lebron caught feelings simple and plain. He shook the Spurs hands, he shook Pistons hands after losing in 7 2006. He says he is winner umm what have you won? No championships hang from the Cleveland Banner.

So in short I'll say this: When you play in a competitive sport, it's common courtesy and sportsman ship to show your opponents the same gratitude they show you by performing. I don't give a damn how much effort Lebron puts into his game, does that put him above his other team mates who stuck around? Stop defending this bitch-made cry baby.
