A friend of mine, who was an AAU coach until a year ago said that he quit because of this crap.
He said he had a kid who was playing like crap. He told the kid, "You're playing like crap." The kid went home and told his parents. The parents come to practice the next day. The Mom goes, "How can you tell a kid he's playing like crap. You shouldn't say things like that to a kid."
My friend said, he's looking at the kid's father, and the father isn't saying anything. He's just looking down at the ground while the wife rants.
My friend said, "It's a new day... the kids don't want to work... and it's a crime to even mention defense. They all just want to shoot... that's it."
