WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is going to advise his good friend, Manny Pacquiao, to consider retirement. Last Saturday, Khan sat at ringside at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and watched him win a controversial twelve round majority decision over Juan Manuel Marquez. The scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112. Khan and Pacquiao are both trained by Freddie Roach.

In an earlier report, Khan revealed that he scored the fight in favor of Marquez by one or two points. He wants to see Pacquiao walk away. Khan feels the Filipino boxer has too much on his plate, between his personal life and his political career, to place his full concentration on being a top boxer.

"I’m going to tell Manny to consider retirement and not go on too long. He has some serious thinking to do – he was lucky and he got away with it against Márquez. The more he fights, the more it might take some of the gloss off his great legacy as the best fighter in the world. Look, he has so much on his plate, and on the strength of this performance, he wouldn’t beat Floyd Mayweather Jnr. For his sake, we have to be honest. He is my friend," Khan told The Daily Telegraph.

wow if they (Khan & Pac) had some tension before they definitely going to have some more tension now....

May Vs Pac probably will never happen....I had mixed emotions on Saturday I wanted JMM to finally get that win but I also wanted Pac to win so we can finally see the big showdown...

we will never see this fight :smh:

Redman you hit it on the head we will see Bradley Vs Pac before any Mayweather fight....:smh:

I'm trying to tell people.... Pac is either roided out of his mind or they are off the shit and are scared of the dismantling from Floyd.

But look at the dynamics here. Marquez took the battery out of the back of a lot bandwagon hoppers that don't know much about boxing. Marquez may have to much pride to take another fight with Pac after this and even if he doesn't are they really ready to take more gloss off of Manny by putting him against they said wasn't worth 5 mill when there is still mega fight cash out option.

Then there is Khan who probably burned his top rank bridge with this. He tried to clean it up on his twitter today from what I've heard by saying he rewatched the fight and now has Manny winning. Someone probably told this was not a good look. Either way top rank would serve Bradley up to Khan now so guess what all seems to lead to...

Bradley v Pac
