Kevin Love to Boston? How is that going to work after that playoff incident?

Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin may still not be 100 percent satisfied with the makeup of his team.

Unsatisfied with the progress and attitude of the Cavs, Griffin fired David Blatt in late January and promoted Tyronn Lue to head coach. Lue has gone 8-3 since taking over and the Cavs are still No. 1 in the East. But there have been a lot of trade rumors and reports about the Cavs looking to make a deal for a wing player like Kyle Korver or Trevor Ariza. The Cavs clearly think they can make a small deal to tweak their roster for the better but it also seems like Cleveland could be willing to make a larger trade centered around Kevin Love.

According to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe, the Cavaliers are shopping Love in trades but are asking a lot in return.

Love is a borderline All-Star and signed a long-term deal with Cleveland this past offseason so it is not surprising that the Cavs want a lot for the eight-year veteran. Yet Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor reports that Griffin doesn't want to deal Love. However Fedor does speculate that the Boston Celtics could be a likely landing spot if a trade was to happen:

Despite General Manager David Griffin's claim that Love is unlikely to be dealt, carrying a high price tag, Love's name continues to be at the center of rumblings because of his inconsistent production and continued struggles to fit alongside James and Kyrie Irving.

Before getting traded to Cleveland in 2014, he took a tour of Boston and the Celtics were considered a potential landing spot. They have been hoarding assets in hopes of landing a star in a blockbuster trade and Love has been a target for years.

But it doesn't really make sense for the Cavs to trade Love for assets. Especially since they are hellbent on winning the championship this season. Boston does have Jae Crowder, who would fit in quite nicely in Cleveland but it is hard to see the Cavs trading Love for the Celtics forward and some picks.

Cleveland may go small or they may go big in a deal centered around Love but one thing is clear: With all of these different reports, the Cavs seem willing to shake up the roster a bit in order to bolster a championship run.

The league isn't about positions anymore. It's about limiting vulnerabilities on pick and rolls and teams that play small. Wiggins would've helped immensely against Golden State.
I never really watched him play but how does Wiggins defend the pick and roll? We all know Klove couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper sack let alone a pick and roll.

Also watching wiggins play he seems talented but he has a low motor... He'll be a pro for a long time though, he can play. He just seems smooth like he's coasting--almost how mcgrady used to look...

Kevin's probably still pissed @ Kelly Kapowski with the long hair. The dude who "bush league" grabbed his arm or shoulder and fucked it up last year.

Watched dude (Kelly) play in the AAA high school bball championship in Vancouver prior to him heading over to Gonzaga before the pros.

I would think he would feel some kind of way also towards dude. That shit was flagrant and intentional. If you got that AAA video then post it in here. Is he doing the same shit there too?

Ankhheru - He was a regular cat out there on the court in high school. Clearly better than his peers. Interesting seeing the Canadian mofos transition to the pros later on. Had a chance to see Robert Sacre (Lakers), Kelly Kapowski (Celtics), and Steve Nash in his prime. Nash was fun to watch ... he was styling on cats out there, and everyone knew he was going places. Little did we know he'd go onto Santa Clara, then Dallas, Phoenix & LA.

Don't have any footage of them. Steve Nash was hooping back around 1991 or 1992 before going onto college.

Sacre & Kapowski would have been filmed from the back of an arena on a shitty flip phone.

If I'm Cleveland and the Celtics trade me Evan Turner, cash and the Nets pick.. I'll take the trade

Ryan Anderson is all I'm trying to entertain...

Actually every team in the league should be calling Nola...

You mean like the guy they drafted last year?????? :smh:

Like that don't make since...
I guess they want vets vs developing players at this point. That's all I can think.

The Cavs have everything they need, to be a great team.
If they want to compete with the Dubs, they don't need stars just solid roles players...I'm down for getting rid of Love only because they seem like it's a problem to have three(which is nonsense because they been playing great...)

From what I see Love has a fragile ego. He was used to being the great white hope in cac Minnesota and now has a hard time following a black man as a leader on the court and the locker room. That's why it's always talk surrounding him about trying to fit in. LBJ can work with dam near anybody if they are willing to listen. (Except maybe a few coaches,,,)

On one side I'm wondering if some of these talks are bullshit...
I mean this last two weeks they been playing great...

Few games where each has over 20 points, even some games where jr joined them with everyone of 15 points...

Lebron getting back to be a stat sheet stuffer, displaying effort and willingness on defense(chase down blocks), Kyrie coming into form...
Love for the most part holding up...so I don't see what the problem...
Mo Williams & Andy getting worked in...

The only thing missing for me is Shum being more productive on offense, his rebounding and defense is there tho...

LBJ was not trying to teach a young buck at this point in his career. Plus I simply don't see Wiggins getting over the hump.

I mean look at that team...

Bennett -pf
Irving - pg
Waiters -pg/sg
Thompson - pf/c
Wiggins - sf
Lebron - sf
Harris - sg
Delly - pg
Lou - c
Gee - sf

They took a gamble with keeping Waiters, who proved he could handle and produce when needed to be.
Got a top free agent in Love...

Could be that our right in your observation but I also see Love going down with injuries now for that shoulder. If that's the case they already got Kyrie always getting injured. No sense in keeping the dude who needs to be handled with care emotionally.

no way..thats a steal, thats nets pick is close to number one.

Shit I was thinking about the Cavs trading Love to the lakers for that pick and selecting Ben Simmons...

That would have Griffin go down as a top gm ever

don't philly own the lakers pick...just as boston owns the nets pick. They are tanking for us, there is no way we trade that pick, we are just going to move David lee and Jared sully, for Al hordford :yes:
