KG should've left Minnesota high and dry after his 1st contract. He would've had 4 or 5 rings if he had left and played in NY or Philly with AI or Anywhere
It was less about Boston and more about knowing he couldn't win deep in the playoffs with Mo Williams as his best teammate. I remember that vividly though... the "decision" was pretty much made at that moment.

Technically he ain't lying. Losing to the Celtics made LeBron realize that as good as he was the key to winning it all was having smarter, gifted players around you. Granted, leaving Cleveland for Miami is a no brainer even if you're not looking for a basketball championship but LeBron had bigger aspirations and the Celtics were a huge obstacle for him while he was in Cleveland. He simply wanted to even things out a bit. He hasn't stop since. The Celtics gave him the blueprint. Other teams had tried and failed.

That rule doesnt apply to Bron. Ive seen 2nd hand generation Jordan and Kobe fans on this board big up Enes Kanter for dissing LeBron. Not to mention Charles Barkley, and players with less rings and accomplishments being deemed better (KD, Curry, Kawhi, etc) the last decade or so. BGOL and the NBA in general needs an infusion of young NBA fans that arent 2nd generation fans of niggas from the 90s and 00s. Itll be less bias.
Seriously? Bragging bout beating a Lebron team that had Mo Williams & Zydranus Ilgauskas as the 2nd & 3rd best players? MO had 1 good season & disappeared in the playoffs & Z was damn near at the end of his career. And it still took them 7 games 
In 2010 nobody thought the Celtics could beat Cleveland. KG was out the year before and the talk was the Celtics were already too old and it was Lebrons time. I want to say Cleveland was the higher Seed and clowning all year. Posing on the sidelines for pictures during player intros. Mo Williams was an All Star. Lebron coming off back to back MVP's and clearly the face of the league The Commercials. Kobe vs Lebron in the finals..who you got....allat shit

It would be nice for Shannon to do a little work so he wouldn't sound so stupid. Why did KG leave Minnesota? Because he'd been there for ever in a far tougher conference (check the championships) and couldn't get past those teams. It wasn't like it was the Eastern Conference. KG couldn't be traded without his consent. Minnesota and the Celtics were in the same boat going nowhere fast. Minnesota felt the KG train had run its course as evidence by the top teams existing out West. Ainge was willing to bet the farm that the addition of KG would be a winner. He gave up players, cash and two, I repeat two first round draft picks for him. KG was okay going to Boston because of it's history but more importantly to play with Paul Pierce. Can't tell you if Ray was first or not but that's the KG to Boston story.

Truth is they dont want it with Ray. He would maul KG, Paul Pierce and Rondo if they approached him in a stupid manner. Ray handled that shit like a grown man while them MoFo's was poppin shit.
