Your circle of friends will either make you or break you! Your friends are the people whom you are the closest to, and have the most influence over your decisions. Their opinions matter and their advice is valued. (At least it should be)

Their activities and experiences away from you, also affects your life. If your friends spend the majority of their time traveling the world, and visiting new places. Their conversations will probably consist of places they’ve visited, landmarks viewed, different cultures, and the amazing people they’ve encountered. Which will broaden your perspective, enlighten and add value to your life.

What would you be able to get from your friends if they didn’t aspire to reach any further than their arm’s length? What will you learn from a person that hasn’t experienced anything? Laughter and past memories plays a part of a conversation, yet shouldn’t be the basis and topic of your talk every time you get together. Your network of friends should be people you can learn from and grow with. If you are the smartest person you are around how will that benefit you overall? What will happen when you need answers, solutions and a way out? Who or where do you run to? When you pick your friends you are ultimately picking your destiny

This is the reason why fraternities are very popular, because they allow you to tap into a network of people that are active in all walks of life. Country clubs are the same. Country clubs can be very expensive, yet you are tapping into a network of individuals that are usually out performing the average person. The ability to tap into a group of individuals who are successful in all walks of life, is amazing to say the least.

What type of individuals would you like to tap into? What are some things you would love to learn? Take some time and think of some of the characteristic traits that you’ve picked up from your friends, good and bad? How has those traits helped you or hurt you. Be totally honest with yourself it’s your life!

I once read a billboard that read:

Small minds talk about people.

Average minds discuss events.

Great minds create ideas!
