Notice how in this video and on HBO last night they proclaimed this dude as an American Hero?

Even though I routed against him, Jermaine Taylor was an Olympic champ and middleweight champ, and I never heard those words from these filthy drunk ass crackas saying that Taylor was an American
hero.

Never heard that shit about Bernard Hopkins either.

Code word of the day:
American Hero = A cracka in a sport that is dominated by mostly Black Americans and foreigners.

YUP... The Great whit hope...!! I call it Rocky syndrome..!!

I have never in my life voted against my party. It just goes to show you that elections are simply popularity contests. An American hero huh? Wow. What has he done that's "heroic"? It's not hard to figure out why he said he doesn't know who he is going to vote for. He's embarrassed to say that I'm not voting for an African American. Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama have virtually no differences between them as far as the issues go. That's why the contest became a "character assassination" thing.

So, if they have no glaring differences on the issues, then what's so hard to figure out about who you're voting for? I say that because Kelly Pavlik emphatically endorsed Hillary Clinton. (personally, who gives a fuck who he endorses?) Although I didn't agree with her tactics, I couldn't have voted against her in good conscience if she was the nominee. Our Soldiers (my comrades) need to come home.

I remember in "farenheit 911" there was a white woman who was all for the war. She had a son that went to to war and she was such a "flag waver". Until her son was killed. (God rest his soul). All of a sudden, she's against the war. Imagine that.

My point is that I can't believe a person would vote against someone who wants to bring the war to an end. Throw all the other issues out. (Although the other issues are perfectly relevant for Youngstown, Ohio). John McCain could give less than a dam about Ohio(except for the votes). If Kelly Pavlik had a dollars worth of sense past lunch money he'd understand that.

Ain't that some crazy shit? Rocky ain't even real Yo. They gotta a statue of that muthafucka downtown in Philly like he's a real person. They talk about race on T.V. but, they never talk about what the real problem is. To me, they try to adedress it like it's a small pocket of racist left in the country. Instead of addressing the fact that racism is embedded in the American culture and it's not going away.

It speaks volumes of the American psyche when you embrace a ficticous(sp) character and hold on tight to it rather than embrace a person of color who REALLY did something.

You know what man, I was watching a Joe Frazier documentary a few years ago and he spoke on that. He was the real hero from Philly. He said it was a slap in the face that they did that too. Before then, I didn't know the concept or story behind the movie. Shit was deep.:smh:

I was thinking the same thing. Jim Lampley was on Pavlik's dick so hard I thought he was going to bust a nut during the middle of the fight.

That's the truth.

Only reaon Joe louis was looked at that way (besides the fact he had a long winning history) was because he did anything the majority told him to do.

Jim Lampley used to be cool years ago when he was on ABC sports. He's almost as bad as Larry Merchant now.

The irony in all of that was that when Ali vs. Frazier was the biggest sports story in the universe, Joe was the mainstream, blue collar guy. Ali was the anti-socialite. Joe stood for everything Philly was about. Oooops. Except he ain't white.
