Russell Westbrook addressed Stephen A. Smith about pushing a bullshit narrative about him that’s followed him like a cloud throughout his career. Russel said that he’d no longer let the media spew negativity about him without saying something.

KD just started earlier. :dunno:

Shannon’s in the wrong, but that negative cloud’s still following KD around and the soft narrative’s still being used even though it doesn’t fit in this scenario.

Those quotes and memes have floated for years and it was never an issue. KD never said he disagreed or he would never say that. And hes slighted Bron publicly before so the quotes werent the reach his supporters are making it out to be. Coupled with his current behavior, not shocked Shannon believed it. You build a rep for yourself, it comes with the territory. Its not like Shannon made the memes himself. Part of this is KD wants to diss Shannon publicly for being such a loud LeBron supporter. It will rile up his fans.

I definitely think there is a better term to describe KD’s behavior.

People have expectations on the behavior of super stars and their platform. I think the fact this really bothers KD by creating burner accounts, going back and forth with people on social media, and so forth have people questioning his ability to handle shit talk on a daily basis.

He is expected to turn the other cheek.

Not just the shot at LeBron but describing his piggyback championships as "the most valuable of this era." The most diehard KD fan (all 10 of them) would not say that shit. It's ridiculous. The quote was fabricated to generate attacks on KD.

The right thing to do would be to diffuse the situation by being more complimentary publicly and not throwing shade to rile up your fanboys all the time. Its OK to give props to legends you spent your whole career chasing. By not saying shit you basically letting the "lies" exist. Why didnt he just ignore Shannon if thats the case?

The good thing about all of this is we are seeing how far people who hate LeBron go. This all started off them creating some misinfo and lies for the internet that KD is now associated with. You do dirt you get dirt. KD's stans some hoes too.

If Shannon quoted something that wasn't true then KD can tell him so, if Shannon doesn't then correct it then KD can feel some sort of way.

I used to give KD a pass and said he just young

But he isn't that young anymore and he KNOWS how all this works now

It's not HEALTHY

He devoting way too much time to this

Go practice, go take a nap, work out, go do a zoom to a children hospital...

Why would he hit up Skip if he wanted to holla at Shannon? If he hit up Skip you’d say he was even more sensitive and more of a bitch for going to Skip instead of addressing Shannon.
