Kawhi Leonard Going to the Clippers!!!!!

Yeah how were they gonna match contracts? That deal doesn’t seem logical. I didn’t know Siakam was getting paid that little. Gasol would’ve been in the deal but that’s a lot of salary to match.

In the end, I think the Raptors are probably just happy with their 1 title that literally no one expected them to get and they decided not to go crazy with it... they would try to run it back if Kawhi stayed, but that was it... weren't going to blow up the cap to do it.

That wasn't the deal though.. Westbrook was reportedly part of the proposed deal. I'm sure the owner gave him a quick no on that. I think the Raptors were already over the cap before signing Kawhi...so adding another $50M plus the luxury tax on all of that would have likely put them over the cap by $100M. Most owners aren't with that.
I don’t even think it’s the luxury tax. I’m not seeing what contracts would even match to get them to take on that deal. If Siakam gets 2.5 million......how do you come up with another 58 million in salary? Woj needs to clear that up before he have that city wanting to burn the team down.

Woj didn’t tell the whole deal. Those contracts gotta match and by the time they match The deal looks lopsided.

i mean....they probably didn't want Ibaka back so the only options would be Gasol and Lowry.. Lowry is making about the same as Westbrook this year but after the Derozen, no way they win a title and then trade Lowry.

and they got rid of DeMar's bad contract...to rebuild

Lowry and Gasol are up at the end of the year. They might keep Ibaka.

but Van Fleet, OG and Siakim aren't a bad core to start with

Something doesn't round right about it.... and Raptors don't even have the draft capital to even make that happen...and without the draft capital why would the Thunder want to do that? It's a weird proposal all the way around.

They're corporate run...so Masai answers to multiple people

and like i was just saying above.. shipping out DeMar to win a title and then shipping out Lowry like that (to make contracts) to get Westbrook would be a bit much man..

If they send Boogie out with a torn Quad Looney and out with a cracked collar bone, why would I think they wouldn't?

That fake ass no tears crying press conference was the kicker for me.

I can’t believe people are still saying no way the Warriors would have KNOWINGLY sent KD out there injured like that. Like you said they did it to Boogie, Looney and Iggy straight up told everybody that they did it to him last year. They showed KD basically limping around every game and then all of a sudden when they are facing elimination he’s cleared to play with no restrictions!!

ah... I don't know shit about their ownership structure... yeah... you gotta have a special kind of owner to take on a deal like that

Nah they didn’t get mind fucked, it just proved what I and others have been saying, they don’t be having any INSIDE SOURCES, they just be making shit up hoping it just might come true so they can act like they knew something. If he had gone to the Lakers or Raptors those that made up the story that their INSIDE SOURCES told them that would be walking with their chest poked out talking about “see I really do have INSIDE SOURCES”
Naw I believe they had real sources......these guys use the same sources every time. They just didn’t know they was going up against a machine in Kawhi.

They might have 3 All star guards when Klay returns, if they do not trade D'Angelo. Just picked up Willie Cauley Stein, he is productive and young.

I don't think Klay steps foot on the court during the regular season.

Their perimeter defense and depth is going to be ass in a Western conference that is much better. Warriors are going to be a 6th seed at the absolute best.

I wonder if my Lakers were ever really in it or just used as a pawn to scare the Clippers into trading all their future assets away for PG

I don't know...I don't really care

I didn't want them to get Butler, Kyrie or D Lo overreacting to Kawhi going elsewhere . I don't think any of them are worth max money.

I would have rather them broken up the money anyway

Plus they're only doing short deals still...so they're tradeable and will have cap money soon

Yeah that’s bogus. I’m not buying it. Even with the analyst asked him to clarify he still didn’t lol. He actually said no to her question.

I think what the Lakers understand that my own team don’t is that you need to get capital. You need assets to trade. So overpaying did DLo is worthy of that. How else will the Lakers get what they need?

I’m saving that chart til the end of next season

If anything goes wrong for the Warriors, they're going to be battling it out for a playoff spot. Kerr will need to really prove his coaching chops this year. As much as everyone focused on the offense, it was the defense that was the difference on this team. KD and Klay rated out as top on the ball defenders on the perimeter and then we all know what Iggy brings. All that is gone and not replaced. They're losing scoring but also gonna give up way more points and everyone what made the playoffs in the west last season got better instead of the thunder and the rockets.

I have a problem w/ almost everything on there...look how low POR is and how high ORL and TOR are

Overpaying a player isn't an asset.

Golden State were bidding against themselves. No other team was going to give him max money.

Bad contracts are hard to get rid of and become liabilities.

Look at all these 2016 contracts teams finally got rid of and are still trying to get rid of.

You have to hope a team becomes desperate...or you trade them for other bad contracts.

You have to count on teams having cap space and then get rid of draft picks to sweeten the deal.

I truly believe Kawhi was playing the fuck out of everyone to get his idea situation. and his whole "dont leak shit" stuff was to protect his desired deal. He played the shit perfectly.

I'm not talking FACTS.

as we have seen no one talks or cares about facts

When you have the choice to print the facts or the legend?

Always print the legend.

We all know damn well the warriors wouldn't risk that man career.

But unfortunately...

After I. Thomas in boston?
And Iggy interview?

Following that specific narrative served a much larger overall purpose.

So you agree fuck printing the truth lol then that's the end of that

and with iggy he was informed a week before the shit happened that IF kd left he might be traded.
so kd left...

My friend.

I liked GSW even when I wanted Cleveland to win. However.

They looks like fake fucks this season.

The shit talking KD at the parade. Green cursing out Durant. Looney playing in tremendous pain. Boogie playing hurt.

Then KD..... He got hurt. Okay... It's fucked up but let that be. THAT FAKE ASS PRESS CONFERENCE BY MEYERS IS INSULTING TO OUR INTELLIGENCE!!

GSW took a hit in my eyes. They try to compartmentalize it to the training staff but I'm not buying it.

That extra shit of retiring KDs Jersey doesn't make up for the fucked up way he was treated when there. They recruited him.

You must listen to the fucking pundits and thats how you shaped your opinion and that's why pundits are a dangerous thing.

When green cursed out durant they SUSPENDED GREEN we gonna forget that?

Looney played through pain and boogie did too as did everyone as does everyone how in the world is that a hit on them or an indictment on the warriors when players DO THAT on every team
Lebron's doctor came out and said he shouldn't have came back at all this year, his actual doctor did but no hit on a lakers training staff? lol

How was he treated fucked up please outline factual ways he was treated fucked up and not catered to on and off the court?

In the END he just wanted to go play with someone he could hang out with more in kyrie which is FINE and his right to I wish him nothing but success but we not gonna try and make it out to be they treated him badly when they didn't treat him badly at all..

Any contract can be dealt. Teams took on Conley and Tim Hardaway contract. These deals are only four years. Russell will be traded and traded for something to help the Warriors as opposed to trying to trade Kevin Looney ornsomeone.

And a suck coach

That's why they lost against the Heat

To be fair they lost to the heat because Ibaka and Harden came up extra smedium deluxe. that's why they lost.
If harden and Ibaka played to near potential they'd have won but they played as bad as anyone ever has in the finals.

also Brooks does suck and they hired Brooks Jr to replace him
