Why no other 7 footer ever tried to emulate Kareems magnificent unstoppable sky hook is a mystery to me! I thought Andrew Bynam was going there but he flamed out.
If he played nice with the media, he'd probably be considered the GOAT. Ninjas underestimate the power the media has in shaping opinion. Kareem's career from HS through retirement is unparalleled. He had 6 rings before that became the magic number that everyone had to chase

When the discussion of GOAT comes up, oftentimes Kareem is an afterthought and that is absurd. His resume speaks for itself... And it should include the finals MVP they gave to Magic in his rookie year. That series was dominated my Kareem. But I will say, all things considered (19/20 yr old rookie, on the road, facing an idol/vet in Dr. J, playing all 5 positions...), that game 6 is the greatest finals performance by a player.
