Kanye West Premieres “New Slaves” On Buildings Across The World

The money is the new ball and chain, which is consumerism. We need to learn to separate the man from his ego just like we separated Dr.Kings dick from his message.

:lol::lol::lol:

money is the new ball and chain... stop it

I moreso took his ONE line about the CCA as a dig into the Prison industrial complex, maybe that.

But equating money (which was around then) to SLAVERY is silly.

he needs to sort his own life out instead of trying to bring everybody into the bullshit he makes for himself

Having said that, I like the track, I like the passion, and I like that I'm even having this conversation about a damn song, and discussing philosphy instead of

"Music sposed to be fun bruh. Niggas wanna pawdee. They won't hear all that..."

I can't wait until this mafucka flip out and them Kardashians realize they done fucked with the wrong nigga. Sooner or later it's gonna happen and I just hope his crazy azz don't end up in jail fucking with them bitches.

As for the song, not bad, crazy but not bad and why the fuck he tryin to sing?

It's about the music for me. I used to question or pry into celebrity's personal lives like the rest of yall, but now that I'm well into my adult-hood, I have a different level of understanding. I don't live a life of complete "correctness" and I don't expect/judge other cats for doin it either. As long as you ain't wildin' on me or anybody else that doesn't deserve it, I'm cool. I don't think Kanye is a sellout because he's dating a Persian chick. I wouldn't be tryin to marry the bitch, more for legal reasons than anything (and ray jay 2nd), but I really don't care overall.

And I respect individual freedom and a person's right to privacy (unless it's some racist cac shit, or some sick abusive shit).

"Don't throw the baby out with the bath water" is what I'm sayin. The lyrics are solid and speak volumes.

If yall niggas want to separate R Kelly's personal life from his music, then do the same for Kanye.
;)

i think the song is cool, but i agree with bills, that using slavery in that context does kinda "cheapen" the word, not just in relation to our ancestors, but people in virtual and literal slavery today.

Brother, you're celebrating a guy moaning about the slavery of consumerism and coporatism as he leaves fashion week, wearing a leather skirt, while holding hands with his socialite fashionista girlfriend in between studio sessions of him making songs bragging about his sneaker line, maybach, latest luxury purchases while calling himself the Louis Vuitton Don. This guy is a fucking clown man. Mentioning him in he same day (let alone breath) as MLK or Frederick Douglas should be grounds for public flogging.

well, damn:lol:

Like it !! Just a bit saddened by the sideshow his life has become that takes away from his brilliance !

FYI .... MJ did this first globally !! Yep

The point is, you do it to a degree as well. Just because your limit is smaller than others doesn't make it much different. But the beat was weak as fuck anyway to me before even catching on to the message, but you can only take him so seriously on these matters with good reason. Even if you like R. Kelly you don't exactly want to hear him preaching about people needing dedicate time to the local Girls Club to mold young girls whether in song or just talking about it.
