The sad thing is these guys didn't learn from the problems of their predecessors. Still the generation of singers before them didn't necessarily let drugs totally fuck up their money and careers. That's been his act for a while - he came off stage singing on the bodyguard's shoulders while performing in one of those "TD Jakes off off way off Broadway plays" in Raleigh during the A&T classic 5 years ago. He apparently had this old ass security dude approach me and my girl for being disrespectful to a star the caliber of K-Ci (he caught us nudging each other and trying to keep from laughing)... and we should be glad he came to Raleigh for our benefit. I told him "Raleigh is a bigger city than High Point even when y'all have the Furniture fair - I don't mind watching him do his thing but I'm a Mary J Blige fan - have him come see me if there's a problem" "I paid to k-ci and jojo where the hell is jojo?" I was calm with him but he was like don't be trying to show off for your girl he eventually walked away from me. But K-Ci looked exactly like he did in the clip - face and body looking like a dried prune - lips white and ashy like Pookie.
