The Sheriff made it known in so many words that he didn't give a fuck. While I'm all for child molesters getting the death penalty (w/ DNA evidence) the state has no business tacitly approving of this kind of barbarism. Now the people of that state will have to foot the bill for...

the medical bills of the alleged child molester
protective custody for him, should he be convicted
and the inevitable settlement that will be reached between his lawyers and the state.
