JUSTICE LEAGUE Snyder Cut vs Original: 23 Biggest Changes

I'll give an actual review and nuance stuff later

1. It's clear Joss Whedon is a hack - What he made with the script and the things he reshot and the changes he made ruined the entire movie. Don't let him near shit again.
2. Who knew Cyborg could --- fly and um everything else? I guess not Joss Whedon. Cyborg was underdeveloped in the 1st and correctly developed in this one.
3 Which is also most important. This was a 4 hour cut and that seems really really really long but it just means they should have taken their time and made 4 movies. 2 for this installment. 2 for the darkseid installment. = Printing money.

Avengers final 2 films were a combined like 5+ hours or so.

I don't like how Darkseid was easily defeated by men and the old gods.
I prefer the original where it's Steppenwolf that takes the lost.

Darksied looked weak in that scene, but yet the ending displayed him as this overwhelming threat.

He was easily defeated? lol
One thing I appreciated was a detailed explanation about the old fight instead of a few clips.
You're talking about easily defeated when he was fighting fucking ZEUS AND ARIES LOL
Let's get serious here now.

Fucking ZEUS an actual GOD lol
Yes he got clapped up.

always tripe me out when people complain about spoilers in a discussion thread... :puzzled:

anyway this is 10 times better ...i really enjoyed it ..

i`m actually gonna take my time and re-watch it over a couple days ....

with all the good reviews dont b surprised if money hungry Warner B

dont try n bring the band back together to finish the story ...:money:

It always kills me when people bitch about OH NO... Superman killed Zod... Superman never Kills ...

When if you look at the original comics from the 30s and 40s .... My man killed people all the time..

Like what do you think happened to this dude..

main-qimg-a284f93098ac2f667780da9a0dadf4df-c

Looks like it's pretty much implied that Superman killed this dude.

He's killed Zod in the Comics before

main-qimg-518b46146a1e9d22420659c7c5f9fef0-c

But oh know...... Superman can't kill Zod in the Movies ...

Even though in both the movie and the Comicbook ... You can see that Superman only killed Zod because he was faced with no other option.

Um
Superman is a 30 something White man from middle america
if ANYONE would be a killer it'd be HIM.

Clark resurrection scene...... was 10 times better

Removing the "I remember you and Do you bleed" lines.... works so much better because it goes to Show that Clark was confused and lashed out at anyone...

Helll yeah thts my fave part of the movie ...i watched it twice..

i wish they didnt cut tht surprised look on Flash`s face out when he realized superman was jus as fast as him ..lol

It wasn't men it was Ares the god of war who defeated him. . the old gods and Superman was the only beings keeping him from taking earth. When they died it was time for him to make his move.

So I was awake and on Twitter and saw this post and now it makes sense....

The Cyborg story arc was the most fleshed out and they cut damn near all of it. Then I realized something......

They cut out almost every non white actor in that movie.

Cyborg mom

Martian Manhunter

Iris West

The Asian scientist that works with Cyborgs dad who I find out his character becomes The Atom.

The fight scenes where Earth repels Darkseid. They cut out the African and Asian warriors.

dude the directors cut of that flick did not need to be 4 hours tho...
That 4 hours was worth it and I enjoyed every minute of it. The movie did cyborg justice, made aqua man and flash respectable and likeable, did a good job of world building and improbed the action a d visuals. Steppenwolf looked terrifying and threatening and he wasn't a 2 dimensional villian like he was InThe 2017 version. That 4 hours was worth every minute. It didn't have to happen but the fans asked for it. It was the movie we should've got. If it hit the theatures sure some of the filler would've been trimmed and it prolly would've been trimmed down to a little more than 3 hours. If I can sit through e hour movies like watch men Malcolm x and avengers end game. Then I have no problem doing 4 for justice league. I was gonna do 2 hours chill and then watch the rest the next day but I was so roped in I just did the whole 4 because it was so good.

As someone who loathed BvS I actually enjoyed this. I have some minor nitpicks with some of the dialogue & some of the use of slo-mo like the flashback of Vic's last football game. That shit was playing at .50 speed almost the entire time except for the few shots that were even sloooooower. Still this was much better than the theatrical version but it wasn't a Frankensteined-movie from 2 directors with different styles that was forced into a runtime of 2 hrs. (10 of which were the end credits) so it was supposed to be  .

Now with that said keep Snyder the fuck away from D.C. Films. I don't want someone who thinks that Batman & Superman having a long convo. in their suits to be "silly" should have anything to do with these movies going forward.
Nah keep joss Whedon the hell away from dc and who ever did the special affects for the theatrical cut should be blackballed from holly wood and wind up being a uber lift drivef or ups delivery man instead.

Snyder Released ! !

PRAISE: I'm all for seeing a Director and writers full vision of their work. I almost literally turned cartwheels when I watched uncut versions of The Godfather and Once Upon a Time in America.
has a different vibe because it's what the fans of Snyder wanted..
It's what Snyder wanted until he was sadly sidelined by a personal tragedy

This is almost a completely different film.It has a different rhythm and look.
The Villain Steppenwolf has been transformed into a more intimidating character.
It is made evident that Cyborg definitely got short changed in the 2017 film.
The Snyder Cut allows more character development. I felt like I was watching a motion version of the DC History of Comics in certain scenes. Some action sequences felt sharper and more involving, different and extended.
If you were looking for an R rated comic film this year well here it is.
Things I can't deny about Snyder his dedication to full visual adaptation of a graphic novel/comic .He can direct the hell out of an action sequence, and his eye for detail and its all on full display in this movie.
In the end i was left wondering what Snyder would have and could have done with these great characters.

PROBLEMS: Some of the inserted CGI looked a bit choppy. The song placement was kind of laughable as some scenes played. One scene inclusion wasn't really necessary it was truly fan service with a capital F.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½

The Asian scientistis also the atom so that's another superhero cameo.

Gotta disagree with you on this one. Darkseid got defeated by Zeus and Aries......they're not nobodies.....they're heavy hitters.

why didn't Martian Manhunter get more involved and help out in the fights?
Shows up in the end after the fighting to offer help
i guess, just didn't see the point of having him show up to talk to Lois and then never does anything else.
Fan Service.

It was just an Easter Egg / Cameo.
But it also sets up the next movie. (2 birds. 1 stone)

They gonna need another hero who is powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with Superman to help defeat Darkseid.

It's a big part if his storyline. Marian Manhunter thinks he's the last of his kind. So, a part of him wants to preserve the Martian lineage. Fighting aliens would have been counter to that. Lol!!

He never thought of himself as a hero, just a being trying to survive.

Plus he thinks humans are stupid and self-destructive most of the time.

You must have hated black panther.
Nope loved it. You can tell special affects weren't as good as other Marvel movies.

For God sakes the beginning of the movie. Lex Luther was standing in water and clothes weren't even wet!!!!!! That just set the tone for me

Loved it. Shit is up there as far as super hero films go.

Yeah it was long and full of fan service. I don't really care. This is what we should have been given originally.

Cyborg, Flash and and Steppenwolf were all fleshed out and felt like real characters.

Cyborg honestly was the main character of this film. I can't think of anyone with as much story as his taking as much front and center space as his.

Will watch again this weekend, like a Netflix show and binge it, but will take breaks between each "chapter "...

Solid 9/10.

Warner Bros. Executive Slams Joss Whedon’s ‘Justice League’ Cut: ‘Stupefying’ and ‘Piece of Sh*t’

The anonymous executive tells Vanity Fair that nobody at Warner Bros. wanted to admit how horrible Whedon's "Justice League" came out.

With the release of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” now under one month away from streaming on HBO Max, one Warner Bros. executive is holding nothing back about his thoughts on the theatrical release of the film that bombed with critics in November 2017. Snyder left “Justice League” in post-production due to a family tragedy, and Warner Bros. brought in Joss Whedon to oversee the film’s completion and to direct reshoots that lightened up Snyder’s bleak tone. The resulting “Justice League” theatrical cut was a critical and commercial failure for Warner Bros. Speaking anonymously to Vanity Fair, one studio executive said everyone at Warner Bros. knew Whedon’s “Justice League” was a bomb.
“When we got to see what Joss actually did, it was stupefying,” the Warner Bros. executive said. “Everyone knew it. It was so awkward because nobody wanted to admit what a piece of shit it was.”

Even before Snyder walked away from “Justice League,” the director was forced to battle Warner Bros. for creative control of the project. The studio dispatched DC Entertainment creative chief Geoff Johns and Warner Bros. co-production head Jon Berg to the production, where one of them would need to be on set every day monitoring Snyder and making sure the film wasn’t becoming too dark for Warner Bros.’ liking.

“You could say babysit,” Snyder said to Vanity Fair about Johns and Berg’s role on the film. “It didn’t bother me too much because they weren’t that threatening. I just felt the ideas they did have, where they were trying to inject humor and stuff like that, it wasn’t anything that was too outrageous.”
The studio also forced Snyder to cut out certain plot threads, including a proposed romance between Ben Affleck’s Batman and Amy Adams’ Lois Lane, and forbid him to make a version of the movie longer than two hours.
“How am I supposed to introduce six characters and an alien with potential for world domination in two hours?” Snyder said. “I mean, I can do it, it can be done. Clearly it was done. But I didn’t see it.”
To this day, Snyder has never seen Whedon’s “Justice League cut. Deborah Snyder, Snyder’s producing partner and wife, saw a private screening of Whedon’s cut before the film’s release and advised Zack to stay away from Whedon’s version. Deborah told Vanity Fair, ““It was just…it’s a weird experience. I don’t know how many people have that experience. You’ve worked on something for a long time, and then you leave, and then you see what happened to it.”
Deborah Snyder watched Whedon’s “Justice League” cut with Christopher Nolan, Warner Bros.’ “Dark Knight” trilogy director and one of the executive producers of Snyder’s DC films. After the screening, Nolan and Deborah went to Zack with a clear message.

“They came and they just said, ‘You can never see that movie,’” Zack Snyder said.
Warner Bros. is set to stream Snyder’s four-hour “Justice League” on HBO Max starting on March 18. Head over to Vanity Fair’s website to read Snyder’s interview in its entirety.

This interview pretty much says all that you need to know...or don't want to know about Joss Whedon.

@ 3mins in.

His post is exactly what I talked about earlier ..... I figured the Studio was behind the decisions on the final cut....

Joss has alot to blame here.... but if you look at his previous work like in Angel or Dollhouse... He always tried to put spins on peoples expectations of Minorities and women ...

Even still he had to have say in alot of these cuts ..... and he definitely was the reason for the toxic environment on set.

Some of what Ray is saying.... really kind of examples why we still dont have a John Stewart Green Lantern movie.

Everyone in the world wants this.... but now it makes fucking sense why don't....

its like this ..the recut was dope im not gonna lie i enjoyed myself watching this 4 hr long movies which didnt feel like 4 hours so thats a plus to me.second i hated barry in the first cut and he kinda grew on me on this one.I STILL HATE THE WAY THIS DUDE RUNS!! nobody runs like that i mean you couldnt get up speed in real life running like this. i was praying there was gonna change this but when i say it i just put my hands over my face like they had the chance and blew it lol but over all it was eons better then the theatrical cut.
