Justice League MOVIE Discussion (The SynderCut Drops 3/18/2021)

Nah, she has a much harder, more androgynous face. Might make a good Sarah Conner.

The top picture no, the bottom picture, yes.

Just came back from seeing the League and I don’t know what the fuck Rotten Tomatoes talking about. This movie was bangin! Yeah, there were some flaws such not enough about the other superheroes origin. Superman’s main battle scene could’ve been better. That Steppenwolf dude was bad ass but could’ve been more badass and powerful. But I think Steppenwolf was wicked enough to be a good supervillian. Not the best or worst but a good super villain.

But the good definitely outweighs the bad. This movie was fun to watch!

shit started off really fucking good...from the commercials I thought aquaman was gonna be a huge tool but I like his character so far...made it up to the scene where they resurrect supes and fight him for a hot sec then I got sidetracked by company...looking forward to finishing it tonite or tomorrow tho

It was ok....like Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. But, considering the characters notoriety and all that it could have been, that's basically ass. I still hold that the CW Arrowverse crossover event was more enjoyable than this film, and that's a bad look. But the Arrowverse has seasons of character development and invested viewers, so their events feel more epic. JL film just rushed too much so the payoff wasn't there. And the Russia scenes made no sense. And the Flash was annoying as fuck and looked like a retarded chicken when he ran. And Wonder Woman was so well done it nearly made me forget BvS, but then this bullshit reminded me how little coherent vision they have for their universe. And Thor movie came out the same time and shitted all over JL...Marvel weakest movie franchise killed DC all star lineup. DC need to put the focus back on they animated movies cuz the last couple were meh, those used to be straight fire.

'Justice League' Officially Lowest Grossing DCEU Movie at Box Office

By JOSEPH SCHMIDT - March 20, 2018

  • Justice League, but the movie was also a financial flop as it just finished its theatrical run as the lowest grossing film in DC Films' shared universe.

According to a new report from Collider, Justice League's worldwide box office gross comes in lower than Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Man of Steel.

Here's how the movie's stack up, as measured by BoxOfficeMojo:

    • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - $873.6 million
    • Wonder Woman - $821.8 million
    • Suicide Squad - $746.8 million
    • Man of Steel - $668 million
    • Justice League - $657.9 million
It's interesting that Justice League finished behind Man of Steel, considering one was a reboot of the Superman character while the other was the first cinematic meeting of DC Comics' heaviest hitters. It just goes to show that the circumstances behind the film did not work out in the box office.

Even domestically, Justice League underperformed compared to every other film in DC Comics' cinematic universe. Here are the stateside figures for each film:
    • Wonder Woman - $412.5 million
    • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - $330.6 million
    • Suicide Squad - $325.1 million
    • Man of Steel - $291 million
    • Justice League - $229 million
Of course, the woes of Justice League's production are well documented at this point.

After the mixed reaction to Batman v Superman, it seems that Warner Bros. studios got more involved with the production of the movie. But director Zack Snyder has always had a specific vision with his superhero movies, and despite the similar critical responses to Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, those films both performed well at the box office.

Fans are wondering about the fabled Snyder Cut, but without a look at the home video figures it's hard to tell if there's even such a demand for that version of the movie. Sure, fans on the internet are fervent in their requests, but as far as those who pay for it? Well, these movies aren't selling tickets or DVDs because Snyder's name is attached…At this point, even a sequel seems unlikely.

Justice League is now available on Digital HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.

I fucking DEMAND that DC release the Zach Snyder version of this movie...

Once again DC fucks up Superman..

Why the fuck wasnt the Black suit in the movie...!!!

Ummm,
This film clip was clearly digitally altered by a Snyder fan. :smh:
I have the Blu-Ray with this scene and the suit is his traditional red & blue outfit.

I guess, (for some reason) they simply refuse to accept the truth that the film just isn't really good... :dunno:

if i were in charge i would...
keep gal gadot as WW and maybe keep cyborg

do a flashpoint and recast every other hero including flash himself

tie DCEU into the CW world multiverse - this could be DC way of one upping marvel - succeed at something marvel didnt

its a risk but if pulled off correct it could be monumental

Why they have the Flash running like a straight up sissy? And i dont mean homosexual...i mean SISSY.

I liked this movie far more than I expected to...ended up watching it 2x...would easily do so a 3rd...but ya @ the recent comment...the flash did run look like an awkward school girl in some of those slo-mo takes

I didn't think it was that bad, but since they scraped justice league 2. It must have been. Still want to see the extended version to see what was left out.

DC Fans Find Hilarious Flash Error in Justice League

The hits just keep coming for Justice League, as fans have found yet another embarrassing goof in the much maligned DC team up film that has left the DC Extended Universe’s future in question.

Justice League was meant to be DC’s version of The Avengers, a victorious convergence of the company’s biggest heroes. But Justice League’s problems began when director Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justiceunderperformed at the box office and was met with savage critical reviews and a strongly polarized reaction from audiences who felt Snyder was taking the adventures of Batman and Superman into territory that was too dark. Justice League’s production was slated to begin quickly after Batman V Superman’s release, which meant Snyder was still attached to direct. But Warner Bros. was reportedly deeply troubled by Snyder’s first cut of the film, and Joss Whedon was brought in to work on the script. Snyder would depart before reshoots got underway due to the death of his daughter – though some reports indicate he was already gone well before that – and Whedon took over directorial duties. The resulting film was an uneasy mishmash of the two directors’ decidedly different styles, and ended up pleasing almost no one. The film was also riddled with technical gaffes – chief among them Henry Cavill’s CGI upper lip – that made it easy to ridicule.

A newly discovered goof is only going to add fuel to that fire. Reddit user TheresOnly1GaryKing has discovered The Flash’s forged military ID features a pretty blatant mistake one would imagine a military scan or even a security guard would probably pick up on: his date of birth is listed as November 6th, 2010.

In a film with a sharper creative vision this might be written off as a minor slip up, but for Justice League it’s yet another reminder of what a well documented disaster its production was. Snyder has been sharing bits and pieces of his visionfor the film on social media, stoking the flames of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. Whedon, for his part, has barely acknowledged he worked on the film at all, his silence speaking volumes.

Justice League’s failure has left the scope of the DCEU’s future in some question. Aquaman will be out this December, and Shazam! and Wonder Woman 2 will follow next year, but beyond that it’s unclear what among the seemingly endless list of announced DCEU projects will actually get made. We still don’t even know who will be donning the cape and cowl for Matt Reeves’ Batman film (though Jake Gyllenhaal says to count him out as Ben Affleck’s potential replacement). Even if the DCEU manages to right itself, Justice League will likely continue to be a black eye for the shared universe.

Funny this thread was bumped. I just tried watching this again and fell asleep on it. One thing I did realize, the dialog is just bad. In some scenes they sound like The Scooby Doo crew trying to solve a mystery. I made it up to the part where Superman's kicks their asses and then cut it off.

I don’t know... like I like really like what Snyder did with Man of Steel. Man of steel wasn’t a dark movie. It didn’t look like a walking cartoon. There was some weight there. There were themes. He opened up a Clark that really felt like an Alien trying to find his place in the world. It was shit we hadn’t seen before.

I’ve got to put the blame on The Studio executives. They wanted to jump the gun and rush into a Universe without having a plan. Man of Steel works because it wasn’t trying to create a world..... but Batman vs Superman fails because it’s trying to fit a bunch of shit into a world that wasn’t designed for this.

I’ll say this until the day I die... there should have been a Man of Steel 2 and then Batman v Superman and then Wonder Woman and then Justice League. Man of Steel 2 could have fixed a lot of the problems that we have in the other movies because they could have sprinkled shit in the background to raise anticipation for the bigger picture.

Well I’m about to get my wish.... the Snyder Cut is coming

These newer DCEU movies are like a buffet, some things I like, some I didn't. In Justice League, I likeed Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Aqua Man. Not Flash or Cyborg. I also thought they should not have used villains tied to Darkseid right off the bat. The plot was too similar to the 1st Avengers movie, powerful lackey of bigger bad wants to claim some cosmic doohickey for power. I would have used the Injustice Gang right off the bat or the White Martians.i
