Just touched down in MIA!! First thoughts ..

How old is the MIA airport? 50 yrs old?
Alamo rental car sux, still sitting here as I type, its dirty, every trashcan is overflowing, car isn't fully cleaned & detailed, etc.
I won't be in Miami long because I gotta check in to my rental condo by 10 and I hear its a 4 hr drive to key west.

what should I look to do once I get settled? I'm here for 5 days.

No one flies into MIA really. It's a shithole.
You fly into Ft. Lauderdale and save yourself a couple of hundred sometimes.

Alamo? C'mon playa. You pay for what you get - you get what you pay for. Next time use Hertz or Avis.
Shit if anything, you don't want to drive in Miami anyway. Generally speaking, there's no place to park overnight so just catch a taxi for $25 and rent a car from Enterprise the next morning.

Miami is really about three things: Nightlife, water recreation, and shopping.
The bad thing is that it's kind of slow this time of year, so don't expect to see too much pumping in terms of women.

But what I can say is that the weather is generally pretty good, and the water is still warm so you can still jet-ski, swim, fish, etc.etc.

Key West is about 3-4 hour drive across the intercoastal. I've only been there 2x. Nice and quiet. Not too touristy. Shit, it doesn't even feel like part of Florida it so far out to sea. Lots of crazy ass, free willed white people. Gay areas are pretty well marked so you can steer clear.

Hemmingway's place is pretty chill. Good spot to get some grub and Hemmingway moquitos (moquito w/champagne).
 
I had no idea about the fags... I heard about key west from somebody in another thread.
Shid, I'm here now... I spent most of the day looking for people that look like me, but AIN'T NONE!
I wanted someplace that wasn't like Atlanta, just needed to chill my nigga. I turn 26 Friday, and I'm down here solo.
Plus, I'ma rare breed of hustler, I can adapt to an full of white folks, and I ain't come for the people, I came for me.
