Don't know much on the online job market except amazon, google, etc, selling your stuff on ebay...I'd ask Lexx.
But basic info for anybody.
First. Contact all of your credit cards and utilities and let them know the situation. Most have reduced payment plans and even forbearance. Worst case is they only gice you one month off or just say too bad.
Second, Don’t be embarrassed or ashamed. Just take a couple of days to focus on what you want to do next. Relax.
Third, hit your network of friends and see if there are any hook ups available.
Get that resume updated and prestine, check out references.
Fourth, hit the employment agencies and hotjob, job fairs, etc.
On the real you can get a “regular job” fairly quick if you go security, substitute teaching, temp work, fast food, sales.
In NY you can go to the public assistance office and they'll give you emergency food stamps right there (I used to work in soical work)
A “real job” (65K and up) will take much longer and will not be instant and could take MANY months in the current job market.

Dask I feel you. I've been outta work for 2 months and I'm getting worried. I have a mortgage and philly's tech market is garbage. I have resorted to going to companies personally and filling out an application.
I've had NO success with dice and monster. I have a degree and six yrs IT experience. This white chick I met has a marketing job with Johnson and Johnson already and hasnt finished her degree and no experience

getting a certificate in IT or an associates
getting a BA or BS in IT
or going to grad school (MBA, Law)

Why don't you try out some of the hustles that I have listed? It starts with your mind, conquer that, don't get discouraged, and let it roll from there. Almost everyone needs something...find out what that is in your neck of the woods then give it to them!
