I hear what you're saying and like you said, Paulino messed up and earned that outside lane. Hey, if she didn't want the outside lane then Paulino should not have slowed down at the end of her qualifying round. Yeah, she should be salty at herself not Sydney.

The tweet makes no sense

It's like when LeBron came to the Cavs as an 18 year old, many of them thought they'll be sonning him and then he turned around and ran the team. The same way with Sydney, Paulino thought she had the 400m locked-up and she was the best in the world plus she had beaten Sydney before: some 400m Hurdler wasn't going to beat her. So I don't blame Paulino, she felt like she couldn't be touched and now there's an interloper in her race. It's OK to feel frustration with Sydney.

I agree but ppl insinuating like Sydney came out of nowhere. Sure she wasn’t a 400m specialist, also the transition is not really that far.

Paulino draw a bad lane because she messed up in the semi-finals. I mean she ran a personal best just to secure a silver. I am not sure Sydney could have done that on the outside lane.

I think Sydney would crush the outside
look at her last few races - she is running like she does hurdles- she knows how many steps and maintains a set pace for the entire 400m or until she sees she can shut down

Yeah, Sydney is a beast and Paulino needs to restore that ego because I just watched Bud Crawford and Errol Spence boxing match again, & Bud destroyed Errol's ego so much....he's never been the same. I don't even know if he boxes any more, it was brutal. So basically, Paulino needs to put her big girl panties on and continue to fight it out with Sydney cause she Syd ain't goin' nowhere.
