The tweet makes no sense
It's like when LeBron came to the Cavs as an 18 year old, many of them thought they'll be sonning him and then he turned around and ran the team. The same way with Sydney, Paulino thought she had the 400m locked-up and she was the best in the world plus she had beaten Sydney before: some 400m Hurdler wasn't going to beat her. So I don't blame Paulino, she felt like she couldn't be touched and now there's an interloper in her race. It's OK to feel frustration with Sydney.

This is Paulino beating Sydney in 2023; I think that Paulino thought the race was going to be like this one...

I agree but ppl insinuating like Sydney came out of nowhere. Sure she wasn’t a 400m specialist, also the transition is not really that far.

Paulino draw a bad lane because she messed up in the semi-finals. I mean she ran a personal best just to secure a silver. I am not sure Sydney could have done that on the outside lane.

I hear what you're saying and like you said, Paulino messed up and earned that outside lane. Hey, if she didn't want the outside lane then Paulino should not have slowed down at the end of her qualifying round. Yeah, she should be salty at herself not Sydney.

& as for people thinking Sydney came out of nowhere, I don't think the twitter/x comment was about Sydney coming out of nowhere, though. I think it was more about Sydney changing events and Paulino's reaction to that.
