Joss Whedon’s Atrocious Interview Attacks Gal Gadot's English, Ray Fisher's Acting, "Rude" JL Actors

i agree 1000% also why they make the flash run like that.i mean on j.l. he was running like a gay dude would run lol i hated to see him in jl why couldnt they have him run like barry on the cw flash or better yet just use that cw flash would have been better...

look at this dude.whos mans is this....

Exactly. Why they got dude running like a jailhouse punk??!

That's how they had him running in the previs.

don;t get it twisted bruh

this is LEGALLY a whole big deal specifically when and how he dropped it.

This COULD potentially be a huge thing for the studio heads...most who have ALREADY been moved or QUIETLY paid and pushed aside.

Besides THAT?

I don;t know what his plan is here...

I guess he could personally SUE Warner Brothers/DC/ AT&T for all the racist and potentially money shenanigans they did?

I REALLY don't know.
Kevin Smith saw the Snyder Cut...
he is saying that Ray Fisher's performance and Cyborg's story is the heart of the movie and carries the movie...:eek2:

I know we have to have pride and draw a line in the sand but you have to know you can't throw a flag and expect the game to continue. Dude could have manned up and waited till the last movie wrapped and then slapped the shit out of them. Hollywood is a fickle bitch and very few people survive going against parts of the machine.

I was watching a little bit of Angry Joe's review, and seems like Cyborg has a more significant role in Snyder's version.

very little according to Ray -in the original film -preWhedon- he said his role was very significant... back when it seemed the Snyder cut was buried forever

OK. Thanks. Good to know he was significant in the film pre-Whedon. I thought that, since he and Snyder probably have beef with Whedon and Geoff Johns, that Snyder may have been throwing him a bone after the fact.

WTF?!?!?!?

Yo that brother was telling the TRUTH all along about his performance?

Whedon gonna move to Dubai
just seen all ten hours of the movie
if we heard that he ko''d whedon that wouldnt be shit for what he done to him
the movie was basically about him
even his father had almost as much screen time as the rest
i am not going to lie this movie was good whedon fucked it all the way up
i been saying that movies should be 4hrs or at least shoot it like they shot lord of the rings
that will make better for better movies

Crazy how TRUE this take was. Cyborg was the deepest complete character in the movie. Cyborg should of received the solo movie.

New allegations of Joss Whedon's misconduct during the making of Justice Leaguehave emerged, from both Cyborg actor Ray Fisher and anonymous sources.

Fisher participated in a lengthy, interview-led piece with THR about the alleged hostile environment on the set of Justice League, his complaints about the behaviour of several Warner executives after he began to express dissatisfaction, and the results of his public feud with the company.

The piece (which is very much worth reading in full), focuses in part on the behaviour of Joss Whedon, and those Fisher alleges enabled him. Fisher says that, once Whedon began his revisions to the film, he responded poorly to notes from the actors, adding that, when he tried to discuss how removing Cyborg's backstory changed the character's representation, Whedon cut him off, saying: "It feels like I'm taking notes right now, and I don't like taking notes from anybody — not even Robert Downey Jr."

THR's sources claim that Whedon clashed with every star in the film, with Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) apparently taking her complaints to multiple Warner Bros. execs due to her negative feelings about the rewrites. Whedon reportedly threatened to harm her career, and made Gadot record lines she disapproved of. "Joss was bragging that he's had it out with Gal," said an anonymous source. "He told her he's the writer and she's going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie."

Fisher also brought up the issue of multiple people, including Whedon, pushing for Cyborg's 'booyah' catchphrase – which was never planned to be said in Zack Snyder's cut. Fisher says that then-co-chairman of DC Films Jon Berg said, "This is one of the most expensive movies Warners has ever made. What if the CEO of AT&T has a son or daughter, and that son or daughter wants Cyborg to say 'booyah' in the movie and we don't have a take of that? I could lose my job." Fisher also alleges that Whedon taunted him after he agreed to say the line.

Fisher also claims that executives around the project took Whedon's side during these clashes, with producer Geoff Johns reportedly saying, "We can't make Joss mad." Johns' publicist has denied that quote was said.

On a wider level, Ray Fisher remains unsatisfied with Warner Bros.' conclusions after the company's highly public investigation into an allegedly toxic, racist working environment, and has made clear he doesn't believe that the executives he worked with are fit for their roles. "I don't believe some of these people are fit for positions of leadership," he has explained. "I don't want them excommunicated from Hollywood, but I don't think they should be in charge of the hiring and firing of other people."

Cyborg has since been written out of the upcoming Flash movie after he refused to work with DC Films president Walter Hamada again. He told THR he was aware that his feud with the company could harm his career, but said, "If I can't get accountability, at least I can make people aware of who they're dealing with."

The recently released Zack Snyder's Justice League restored much of Fisher and the cast's original performances and intentions for their characters. After years of allegations being hurled at writer-director Joss Whedon for such despicable acts as sexual abuse to on-set racism, the Cabin in the Woods helmer took it upon himself to sit down for a multi-day interview where he addresses almost all of the charges levied against him by his ex-wife and former cast members. The interview opens up difficult interrogations regarding his alleged abuse of Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Charisma Carpenter, his verbal abuse of female writers, and admitted affairs he had with fans and journalists. But it’s the passages regarding his controversial stint on Warner Bros. Justice League that are the focus of this article. We advise you go read the article in full.

By the time the interview with New York Magazine (via Apple News), shifts to Justice League, Joss Whedon describes his decision to try and “fix” Zack Snyder’s cut of the movie for Warner Bros. as being one of his biggest regrets. The article rehashes explanations for the discontent on set that have been shared by DC and Zack Snyder fans for years: That Snyder encouraged improvisation in his actors, while Whedon expected them to adhere to his script; That Gal Gadot pushed back against Whedon’s writing, and the director insulted her. A crew member recalling their time on the set claims that Whedon said he’d never worked with “a ruder group of people” than the Justice League cast. And in trying to clarify his disconnect with Gadot, Whedon told New York Magazine:
English is not her first language, and I tend to be annoyingly flowery in my speech.
Gal Gadot responded to this by telling NY Magazine she “understood perfectly” everything the director was trying to convey. Eventually, the interview turns to the accusations leveled against Whedon by Justice League co-star Ray Fisher, who said the director abused his power while on set of the reshoots and was enabled by Warner Bros. executives, calling out Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Whedon doesn’t address those accusations directly, though he does offer his explanation as to why Fisher’s performance as Cyborg – which Zack Snyder famously referred to as the “heart” of the movie – was cut out of the 2017 theatrical release of Justice League. Whedon says in the article that the Cyborg storyline “logically made no sense,” and allegedly called Fisher’s acting bad. He claims to have had friendly conversations with Fisher about the changes he wanted to make, and says that none of Fisher’s claims to the media have been “either true or merited discussing.” In conclusion, Whedon told New York Magazine:

We’re talking about a malevolent force. We’re talking about a bad actor in both senses.
New York Magazine claims to have reached out to Ray Fisher multiple times with interview requests, but they say the actor did not respond.
Snyder fans already are taking to social media to defend Fisher, and declare Whedon “done” following the interview. Posts like this flooded Twitter as the latest rounds of details regarding this back-and-forth surfaced.

There may never be a clean resolution to the events that happened on the Justice League reshoots, though Snyder fans at least can claim a creative victory because their efforts to get the Snyder Cut of the film released culminated in an HBO Max debut in March 2021.

This shit here. I'm glad somebody finally put Joss whedon's ass on blast, although I don't know how much it's going to help because she is a marketable director. However, he's pissing off the talent

The Joss Whedon cut of Justice League was horrible. The way he did Ray Fisher as cyborg character was just it looked like, "I'm gonna tank this movie to make him look bad"

I'm so glad to see that little shit crash and burn. Being on Star Trek as a kid give that devil an undeserved feeling of superiority. I've been wanting to punch him in the face ever since I saw him on Big Bang Theory. Zack Snyder >>>>> Joss Whedon.
