Jordan Peele (from Key & Peele) made a horror movie: Get Out (4 Oscar nominations)

"Get Out" changed the game for real, nothing that came out this year tops it, props to Blumhouse and that flick "Split" was hot too.

It wasn't great, but it was a very novel concept that gripped many people. It showed that white people are extremely envious of us and tackled a very little talk about reality which is organ harvesting from black people, albeit a very extreme sense.

To me, the movie would have been much better had it gone deeper into the organ harvesting ring of how they find their "donors". I've got an idea for and novel, but I haven't figured out how to make it dissimilar to Kiss the Girls (an Alex Cross novel by James Patterson)

I personally don't find so called horror movies scary. But the human organ and kidnappings angle was disturbing. Because I believe this type of shit actually happening.

Oh it is most definitely happening. The novel I had in mind had Laz Alonso as the lead Detective. One of the students in his old high school was found rolled up in the gym mats, his organs removed and his body stuffed with paper... The police labeled in a suicide

I was going to play Law & Order and Tie miniscule details from real cases and have it in the novel. But, and my mind is still sounds too much like Kiss the Girls.

They know no one cares about us, no one cares about when we come up missing and no one's going to look for us outside of our family
 
Best Comedy or Musical. :hmm:


No Best Director nomination for Jordan Peele. :smh:

Not nominated for Best Screenplay? :angry:

Re-watched it earlier this month with some fam' that hadn't seen it. Pointed out key scenes they should be paying additional attention to.
