All the outrage and anger about the gall of the University to 'fire' Joe the way they did, no one is really looking at the overall accountability and blatant arrogance he's shown throughout this ordeal!!!
The fact that he would 'announce' HIS plans to retire at the end of the year, on his own, without an agreement with the University, etc. on such an action, proves he though he was beyond reproach, discipline and above the law and 'average' people.
He got exactly what he deserved, and anyone arguing about how he should have been able to go out with more 'dignity' etc, are idiots who can't really read a persons character or actions!!!! Great Coach, fucked up arrogant Human Being who was humbled in a way that should be celebrated...
