Joe johnson takes 3 shots in half, ninja making 120 million dollars

I have said on this board on several occasions...

The Hawks are a failure...their core has not,nor will they...ever win a thing.

Joe Johnson is a third scorer on a good team and Josh Smith has a very low basket ball I.Q.

But that's who they are stuck with...

They have been together 4/5 years now...if they were gonna gel it would have happened.

The Bulls for instance...their core have been together two years, and they are ready.

Joe has digressed he was lookin better in years past but now he jus an average shooting guard

Glad to see a brotha getting his bread. Fuck making the chicken hawks better. You all are not Champions.

Just stick to the title bitch ass nigga. Nobody said nothing about the Hawks beating both Orlando and Boston the same week. 30 teams in the league only 1 will be Champion. Step off Bitches:thefinger:

This was one of the worst contract signings of all time.

I was shocked they signed him to that much. Who was their competition?

Atlanta will stay a mediocre team, because they have mediocore players.

shit if someone gonna give me 100 million dollars for being a ok player where the fuck do i sign ???

This.

Read up on the Hawks management situation. You think the team is bad? The owners situation is a hot mess. They have 2 major issues:

They all have to agree to do anything- trade a player sign a player whatever. All in or no deal.

They are suing each other to get one of the guys in the ownership team out. But they still need his vote to make any deal.

At the end of the day, they can't get much done except safe, middle of the road type moves. So they end up re-signing Joe Johnson cause they couldn't agree to do anything else.

You are dead on man. That ownership situation is a mess.

JJ a 3rd scoring option? Are you insane? How can an all 2 guard be a 3rd option scorer. If you said 2nd option scorer then you would be right. JJ is a decent scorer with good one on one defense, usually shoots a good 3 point percentage (except for this year) and dishes out pretty decent assist. Joe Johnson would be stellar if he played on the Magics or the Knicks. JJ is a 2nd tier star.

Josh Smith has a low basketball IQ? How can you average 15 points a game and one of the top 5 defenders in the league and have a low basketball IQ?

The Hawks need to try making Josh Smith the primary scorer. He has the potential to score on anybody, but he isn't given the green light. They keep telling him not to shoot so many 3's but this year he has a higher 3point percentage than Joe. The ownership is a mess also with them fighting amongst each other.

What's sad is the future of the Hawks won't get better. They will probably lose Josh Crawford at the end of the year. They traded away their first round pick where they could potentially draft Kemba. And the most depressing of all is they traded away Jordan Crawford who is now killing in Washington. He just put up 38 points the other night against the hear and averaging well over 20 points a game for the last 5 games.

The Hawks better hope and pray after the new collective bargaining agreement that the owners cut a deal like they did last time where they could cut one player off each team regardless of how long their contract is. JJ would be the first to go.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What's wrong with being a third option??...on a championship driven team???

Much like Ray Allen is the third option on the Celts...after Pierce and KG.

My point is,the fact that he is the first option on the Hawks...underlines that they are not contenders.

I just don't think Joe can carry a club...

As for Josh...yeah,he stands outside shooting way to many long Js,when should be using his strengths underneath. For a guy of his skills,I think he can do more.

I don't see the Hawks often, but on a couple of occasions...it looked to me like Smith was pouting or just quit.Early in the season when they came to Boston...Josh had 1 point, and looked dis-interested.
Not quite the guy I would want leading my team...
