Jimmy Kimmel on Santa Fe school shooting...this will be in campaign ads in the fall...

I don't want to see any more kids killed regardless of race, whether by the gun, the knife or anything else.

Better parenting and care and concern for your fellow man is the only real answer, the problem is that you can't legislate the heart...

Also they will enforce gun control on Blacks and other minorities and overlook it for white families as they have done for GENERATIONS in this country especially in the South.

The town of Kennesaw Georgia, historically predominantely white, has a rule in effect to this day that every head of household of sound mind must own a gun.

(a) In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore.

(b) Exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who suffer a physical or mental disability which would prohibit them from using such a firearm. Further exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who are paupers or who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of beliefs or religious doctrine, or persons convicted of a felony.

So in all the countries on the planet where this does not happen at they are parenting better and concerned for the fellow humans? Or are their Gun laws the difference?

What I stated would solve the problem regardless of the medium used to convey the violence...gun, knife, etc.

In my OPINION, Martin Luther King was correct:

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

That shit dont really happen in black schools. Can u think of a black school this took place in?

Black schools has a whole different set of issues for sure. However, I definitely don't want to rule out the possibility that this type of things couldn't happen at a Black school by a Black teenager.

If it does happen, then imagine how shocking it would be within the community.

My thing is that these politicians will be wanting us to side with their ideas of 'gun-control', which I don't have a problem with, but what are we going to get in return?

I'm just hate to see us being a part of THEIR problems being solved and we can't stopped being fucked up police or even see justice served for the victims.

You right it doesn't happen in black schools but what does happen are black kids getting killed outside of school hours. It's been 3 kids killed in D.C. this past month right after school has let out. Sad as fuck but it will never get national attention like the mass killings.

Fuck outta here. Only white folk be trying to throw MLK quotes to hide their wrongs and low key trying to get out of an ass whooping.

Black kids been dying by gun violence and it's been crickets. 55 percent of gun homicides of children are black children. Country doesn't care unless its white children. :smh:

Their problems are usually our problems. Often they just manifest themselves differently.

cops can kill us with impunity, racists can talk about killing us with impunity, they see danger in us when we are bbqing, trying to work out, use the bathroom or just checking out of an airbnb, yet the ones going out and killing white people in numbers are white,,,,,,since we can't change their perception of us i say arm more crazy rural white teenagers

What you said will not solve the problem as it presupposes that parenting and a concern for one another is the problem when in fact most the shooters had siblings whom were not as fucked up as the shooter and received the same parenting. Don’t forget many of the shooters have been adults whom issues as an adult would be difficult to reach back and pin on their parents. Furthermore you don’t address my question that your original point raises and that is do the nations where this does not happen parent better and society have more of an awareness and concern for their fellow man and woman? Stop writing stupid shit then try to cover it up with a quote from MLK, this is not about no fucking darkness this is about a country in love with its guns out of fear of the Justice it deserves from the very people whom live here mostly black men and women. That’s some LIGHT for your ass.

Damn. That was good by Jimmy

there is no law in place or law that could be passed that would have prevented what happened in Texas.

think about this, when they start confiscating guns.......and I believe it will happen, maybe not in my lifetime but eventually. Who's guns do you think they will come after first? CAC's?? or us?

Your comments wouldnt be out of place on a nra cac board.
Would you feel the exact same way if your kids were dead today?

So, how would you change the gun laws?
I dont know playa
But thats why we have elected officials, and pay these mufuckas and send them to Washington.
They wont as much as sit down together and
dicuss something, anything.
Maybe the day someone shoots up congress...

Let me first try to find the right words here...Okay! I understand your point but disagree with your premise.

First:

"there is no law in place or law that could be passed that would have prevented what happened in Texas."

^^^^I'm not even sure what this statement is about. Nor I'm I going to waste the time posting the research showing the correlation between gun-ownership and incidents like what happened in Texas. More specifically as a result of tighter/looser gun policies. The research is fairly conclusive:

Less guns (By whatever means) = Less Texas like situations....PERIOD! Even without data correlated research, common sense should predict that outcome.

Second:

And something I hear amongst black folks all the time and on BGOL

"Who's guns do you think they will come after first? CAC's?? or us?"

^^^^I understand the need or desire for gun-ownership. But once more research suggests:

1) You're more likely to be a victim of some sort of a crime by having gun ownership rather than preventing it.

2) What minority black person owning a gun have saved them against the white man? We have a whole sub-thread dedicated to blacks being killed every day by government agents aka crooked cops.

What amount of gun ownership would have saved those people?
Hell had they had a gun would they have been more likely or less like to save themselves and family?

So once more who/what exactly is owning a gun saving in those cases?
