Jerry Rice- the best NFL player ever

A WR can't be the greatest player ever, because he's too dependent on his QB and the system.

Put Rice on another team, will he accomplish the same? Not even close. Perfect system and QB's.

Like Andre Rison with Atlanta, compared to Green Bay, Kansas City, Oakland....

Where as you can see with Peyton, Harrison, Wayne, Garcon, Collie, Clark, Tamme....doesn't matter.

So how's Rice better than Joe Montana
He won without Hall Of Fame players on offense.
Jerry still needed Steve Young.

People like Reggie White, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, LT...they would be dominate on any team. Walter Payton, good offensive line, bad offensive line, bad team, good team, coach...didn't matter

What about The GOATs time with the raiders? :hmm:

Just to stir up the pot a little, Carl Banks (two-time Super Bowl winning LB of the NY Giants) was on WFAN yesterday discussing the list and said...

1) Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver ever, it's not even close.
However, he's not as "tough" as people think he is, he mentions that tough teams gave him trouble.

Said that Joe Montana and Barry Sanders were the best players that he ever played against.

2)Believes that Deion Sanders should be in the top 7 on the list
