JC Penny Is Dying

Amazon's CRUSHING brick and mortars

Amazon's the excuse. TJMaxx and Ross was crushing it up until very recently, and even then it's just slowing sales not losses like JCP, Sears and Macy's have had for a while. Hell, even Saks and Nordstrom are staring to pick up because of their outlet stores. Quality sells but everyone is pinching dollars now. Most people rather go to a shopping center close to home than a giant mall that only has sales when the season's over.

What's killing places like them is themselves because they made their money from the interest on the cards they handed out and the people who used to use them are in nursing homes or dead.People my age and older aren't getting shit from them using their card and making payments, they are maxing that bitch out and letting it go to collection.

I owned a sear & robuk's catalog from 1900's where they were selling gardening hoes and wood homes that looked like lincolm logs,I sold it for l 100 bucks.

Kinda true!!! But it runs deeper than that!! The whole retail bubble is crumbling right in front of our faces!! The one retail business doing good is dollar general stores. Oh yeah, there's a LOT of people outta work. Don't go by those numbers the government is putting out and believing what mainstream media is putting in our face!! Those number are manipulated to keep the masses in their trance. When 50% of Americans are making under 30k a year. That should tell everyone this economy isn't in good shape at all!! Anyway, Penney isn't the only retail chain in trouble. They all are!! If it hasn't hit ur area yet, get ready because it's coming!!

What's crazy is the so called liberal media is acting like the Trump economy is so much better than the Obama exony when it's just a continuation. They talk about jobs numbers under Trump and they still haven't figured out the stock market is not an indicator of how the American people are doing. The market will lose most of if not all of it's recent gains in the next few years and we will be right back to where we started from

JC Penny and Sears just didn't adapt fast enough. How do you explain the success of stores like Kohl's except that they provide value in their brick and mortars and have a strong online presence.

The one I can't figure out is Target. I guess people who don't shop at Walmart for whatever reason might shop at Target, but I never go there anymore and that was a regular shopping destination for me 5+ years ago.

EDIT: Not being tied to Malls as Anchor stores is helping Target and Kohls
