No disrespect to Jayne Kennedy, but I don't know why people keep saying that endometriosis is the reason for her significant weight gain. Actually, one of the biggest problems with endometriosis is infertility and she was very lucky to have three kids. I've known several women who have had endo and they weren't able to kids and NONE of them gained a significant amount of weight. Actually, they are all slim.

The only reason I can see for Jayne K. weight gain from sickness is if she was taking some kind of steroid medication for her illness. That will definitely blow someone up.

Well, she's also around 56 years-old and has no particular reason to mantain the shape she had when she was making workout videos in the '80s. She's just a regular mom (and as overweight as most folks of a certain age). Her illness, which can affect various organs and cause fatigue, may well have kept her from continuing a strict physical regimen for the last 20+ years (as did raising 3 or more kids). She was also hardly a petite woman to begin with.

(Phylicia Rashad is pretty large these days too, as is Pam Grier. Both are of similar age to Jayne.)

Good points made, but I'm not talking about inevitable weight gain because of age, but everyone keeps saying that J. Kennedy's weight gain is because of endometriosis and I don't think that's the reason.

It's cool you have decided to take up the mantle of "protector", but Jayne Kennedy is damn near 60....

That's how many 60 year old women look when hormones aren't produced like they were 20-30 years ago, not to mention inactivity....

She looks good for being close to collecting a pension, but in contrast to the "before" pics, it's not a stretch to hear someone say she let her self go....
