You know what bugs me out? This dude you guys hate so much started his Professional hustle in 1996, and in 16 years he is worth close to 500 Million dollars. So i ask you guys why the fuck are you always in another mans pocket? This dude worked his way out of the projects into what he calls a better space in America.

The amount of money invested doesn't always equal the ownership percentage. He could have gotten a bigger share with little money invested, if he didn't than he should have gotten a better deal.

Hmmmm...let me see...invest a small amount(by millionaire and billionaire standards)then have the ability to share in the profits of the team(even if it is proportional to his investment and pocket change to him, it's still revenue coming in)...have the ability to build his brand further and possibly share in profits from merchandising(like someone said,him sitting at court side with Beyonce wearing BK Nets gear will increase sales of that merchandise 100x fold)

I hate the Jay-z stans but his front row seats for perpetuity is worth more than his investment. Not to mention that his small investment will appreciate. Also, he gets to step up his other ventures in the arena.

with all the work he has been doing as the face of the Nets, the Russian could have at least increased jay-z's percentage ownership in the team.
Jay-z is putting a lot of his brand equity on the line being the "face" of the Nets. If the Nets become the laughing stock of the NBA, it will affect his brand negatively and he isn't being compensated for that in anyway.
Jay-z is running around trying to make money from being associated with the Nets while the Russian is making money from being the owner of the nets.
Once again, it comes back to owning shit.
