Jay-Z Tells Juan Epstein His Takeover Diss Was 100 Times Better Than Ether.

Bullshit, all I need to know is - if ya'll don't remember, when Ether came out, Jay-Z resorted to talking about Nas baby moms on that wack ass answer record, dude reached for anything he could, Ether got under that nicca's skin, .

That is exactly what I was saying... Nas came back so hard and expectedly that Jay rushed out that wack as Superugly and that let the whole wind out of the beef....you cant come back with superugly after ether

Ether >>> Renegade >>> Takeover

Takeover and Superugly were WACK... Jay-Z's Renegade verses are far better than that and not too Far behin Em's.

Ether is a top 5 battle rap of all time.

Yea some of you Niggas need to go back in your ink cartridge.

"I showed you ya first tek on tour with large professor....then I heard ya album about ya tek on ya dresser"

"is it blackgirl lost or shorty owe u for ice?????"

Ester wasn't a great song it was a great diss record. Better than Takeover. Jay didn't really have a beef with Nas. Nas had shit to get off his chest and it showed. The thing is Em wrote Renagade with Royce Da 5-9. Not only did Em smoke him. On the original version Royce smokes Jay too. That's the killer.

Jay too an L on the h to the o.m.o song by nas and ether. Jay took another L on renegade too. Its no surprise jay never had em on another song of his again.

Ether is now a verb.

Ether hit so hard it took Bubble Lip several songs to answer back and still didn't scratch Esco.

Of course the camel Stans would come a running to co-sign with this asshole damn near 10 years after taking the biggest L of his career and folk still don't wanna believe.

Let it rest already.

Nas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jay.

"I was Scarface, Jay was Manolo
It hurt me when I had to kill him and his whole squad for dolo"

Last Real Nigga Alive - Nas

cats gonna start crying and saying Im dissing Jay Z but he often comes up short when him and another killer are on the same song..... like Brooklyns finest..im not saying Jay didnt spit..because he did....but Biggie spit hotter...or even I love the dough... but that Renegade was crazy...Em took that shit somewhere else...they way he constructed and spit that last verse :itsawrap::itsawrap:

Jay-Z Tells Juan Epstein His Takeover Diss Was 100 Times Better Than Ether. Praised Prodigy "At One Point He Was Close To Being The Best Rapper In The Game" & Em Won Renegade
Jay-Z and Nas had one of the more entertaining rap beefs of all time. The battle produced two classic diss tracks in Nas' Ether and Jay-Z's Takeover.

While most hip hop fans tip their hats to Nas when comparing the two songs, Hov seems to still be in denial.

In an interview yesterday with Cipher Sounds and Rosenberg on their Juan Epstein Show. Hov talked about the two songs, acknowledged Eminem killed him on "Renegades" and gave Prodigy props for being one of the best rapper in the game at one point.

"I think in the history [books] when we look back, and I don't mean no disrespect to Nas it's not even close," Hov said. "The record, if we take Ether it's 100 times better."

Jay also dissed producer Ron Browz by saying the Ether beat was terrible.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Jay have also had their differences, but Jigga gave the Queens mc praise.

"I think they're fantastic," Hov said of Mobb Deep. "Prodigy at one time was one of the best rappers in the game. I don't know about [best] ever, but at one point he was close to being the best rapper in the game."

As far as Eminem murdering him on Renegades, Hov chalked it up to a bad day at the office.

"I think he's [Eminem] a very intelligent rapper... It's just when you make 4000 songs... I'm a constant collaborator. You know some people are gonna have better days, it's just the way it is."

=========================================================

Notice how it took him YEARS to fix his fat lips to even SAY this foolishness!:smh::smh::smh:
BTW Nas murdered him!

WIN!!! "Queens Niggas Run You Niggas Ask Russell Simmons!"

Knockout!! Actually STILLMATIC murdered both songs by itself!!!!
"Before You Used to Rhyme Like The Fushickens, Nas Designed The Blueprint Who You Kidding?"

Renegade was an average song at best anyway....where that nigga really got killed if you are gonna compare verses is Run This Town. Jay killed Kanye on that Diamonds are Forever remix, but I listen to the whole Run this Town song or fast forward just for Ye's verse. And I'm not a Jay Z hater or lover, But J.J. Evans getting gunned up and clapped quick went so fucking hard Jays best response would be to act as if he never heard Either before. To this day, when I see that episode of Good Times where J.J. gets shot by Mad Dog, I throw up the diamond sign.

How is the fact that Jay fucked his babymom's reaching? How can you get under the skin of a nigga that fucked your baby moms?

I came in ya Bentley backseat
Skeeted in Jeep
Left condoms in tha baby seat

That nigga Jay mom had to tell him "Slow down son, you killin em'"

Nobody even remembers that song, that's how much of an impact it had. And Nas baby moms was a WELL KNOWN hoe throughout Queens.
And Ether fucked you up so bad you brought the niccas baby moms AND kid into the beef, niccas in NY and over the radio stations was even like "c'mon son" you reaching now, nicca lucky he didn't get clapped over some shit like that, just for bringing Nas daughter into it. Jay is not a street dude, never has been.

He's telling the truth .... for once

I tell people that all the time .... even the part about P almost being the best in the game

3 pages...bottom line both songs went hard...Ether hit a little harder but that take over beat was dope...and "Jay did rip nas on some factual shit...fuck it lets vote on this shit...

Ether FTW.. Man as a southerner we had heard NAS before but that shit there actually had niggas down here BUYING his cd.

I always thought that Ether was overated.IMO JayZ was the "bad guy" and people wanted Nas to win from jump. The beat knocked hard and he talked shit, but most of Ether was about Jay's looks or shit that just wasn't true.TakeOver was true and his flow was way better.PLUS IMO Nas forfeited when he didn't respond to BluePrint.Nas pretty much went second after Takeover, dedicated a full diss song to Jay,gave it all he had. Then he refused to go another round.I actually lost alot of respect for Nas after that shit.
Yes Em had a better verse on Renegade, but collabos aren't competition.

Takeover was a response to this ... Nas bombed on the whole Roc with this one:

"Hit the FREEWAY, shoot through MEMPHIS with MONEY BAGS (Bleek's artist) stop in Philly order a cheese steak and eat BEANS fast .... is he H to the izz O? M to the izz O? forshizzle my nizzle the rapper version of Cisco"
:itsawrap:

This is why Jay-Z made Takeover

I think Takeover is the best commercial diss song after hit'em up he went after all of queensbridge and almost ended they careers :smh:

Has Nas ever gotten on a track with Eminem?
===========================================================

If Em could do a track with Nicki Manaj I am certain he wishes he did one with Nas. I think Nas hasn't see fit to do it. Nas obviously is more principled than capitalistic.

Co-sign

The Takeover beat was hot as hell and that is what I feel Cats are choosing Hov in this debate. In a Battle, TO ME and to many others, it is all about lyrics and Nas Killed him lyrically! I don't care if Jay-Z sold a mill.

I got to give it to Jay though, that nigga even tried to say this shit with Nas sitting right next to him at 4:13..but Nas brought him back to Reality at 4:15 :lol::lol::lol:

People root for Nas because Jay-Z damn near ended his career. Bravehearts was wack, Nas did have the worse flow on the whole fucking song, Nas does have a one hot album every ten average. Nas had to make Ether. Takeover was like axe coming straight for your head and Ether just barely saved him.

I used to be the biggest Nas fan but Takeover is one of those songs you do not want a dude making about you. Nas spent the next 2 albums trying to get Jay-Z back.

The moment stillmatic dropped Def Scam was on the phone to Hot 97 begging them niggas not to play it :itswrap:

guess hommie forgot:dunno:

alot of people forget about this...i listened to hot 97 that day at work and the people spoke...they said Nas won...most people can't attack Jay the way Nas did...Those things that Nas said were personal and alot of cats in the street were like "Yea, there is some truth to some of those things" Jay may have won the war (career) but he lost that battle
