Jay-Z sounding real coonish at this NFL event

Again. Criticizing black people for being unjustly killed is ridiculous. It’s literally like saying women should wear different clothing or they won’t get raped.
The actual stats on Black people killed by police Is MINISCULE. It's the LEAST of our priorities and danger. When I walk outside my door I have more of a chance to get hit by a train than getting shot by a cop. Much much higher on the list is getting shot by another Black man. car accidents, heart disease, diabetes, etc.... All much higher. Yet, here even on this board we have STICKIES dedicated to making you all think our problem is cops. It's No wonder you believe it.

And when it does happen, a large part if it has come from this bullshit narrative, that kids believe before they even meet a cop. And the what he said about young men in the hood not having authority figures and the first one many of these same young men meet, has some truth to it. You can be butt hurt about the truth all you want, doesn't change it.

your favorite rapper ain't gonna say everything you wanna hear all the time. Sometimes it's gonna be some hard truth. It's about time.

the best way to help the poor is not be one of em.......................Very Steve Harveyesque, a bonafide buck dancer.

Now Jigga is perfecting that art only with more swag because as we know Jay-Z makes everything kool. Remember the S Dots.

No one called him a coon outright because anyone with a brain knew he wasn't thugged out like that.

At best ( or worst ) he was a slimy opportunist who took advantages depending on how the wind was blowing.

All the clowns who praised this almost 50 year old married father of 3 for being 'woke' forget about The Originators in 1990 with the Newabians all up in the video with Farrakhan speaking throughout the song.

He moved from that.........to thugging and crystal..............to grown and sexy...........to niqqaing up in paris......to woke again.

It's always been a hustle to him, only this huge platform magnifies who he's always been.
Cut the shit. All this time hisnalbjms were selling out the stores. NOW y'all wanna act offended. Gtfoh.

None of those quotes or this makes a point. I don’t care whose mouth this comes out of. It’s a statement that is of detriment to us.

Nobody thinks being killed by police is our number 1 threat. That’s stupid. Doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the fact that we are 10 times as likely to be killed by a cop .. as opposed to white people.

Lol those quotes are THE EXACT SAME.

And that's bullshit that people don't think it's the #1 priority. That's why I mentioned the sticky. Is there one For the exorbitant amount of murders in our communities that is far beyind disproportionate? Shit, we can't even get one for children or old ladies murdered the minute we find out it wasn't a white person who did it. Coudktn get one for a shooting on a HBCU campus. Is there one for even economics ? How about fatherhood? No-- because according to the narrative that is the biggest thing we have to know about. That's what's holding black people back. Police. Let's go to the football game and fight it

And that's also the reason Kaepernick felt like he needed to kneel and bring awareness to this supposed epidemic even though he's never had an incident witb the police in his life, living in whiteville Wisconsin . That's how this whole stupid shit started. Us he knew he could finally be embraced by Black people.

Meanwhile,. Jay z has been having to deal with actual criminal.justice issues his whole life. And doing it. Kept Beans out of jail and changed his life. Kept himself out of jail. When his friends came out, he kept them out of jail. Got Meek Mill off probation and case dropped. And that's just the names we know. But that's enough.

Faggot.

Coon Faggot.

I know. Tupac, Denzel and Obama are

"You and I know how true this is in the African-American community. We know that more than half of all black children live in single-parent households, a number that has doubled — doubled — since we were children. We know the statistics — that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison. They are more likely to have behavioral problems, or run away from home or become teenage parents themselves. And the foundations of our community are weaker because of it"-- Barack Obama

at the end of the day jay z doing what over 95 percent of y'all would do..

And thats grab that. fuckin bag...

NFL needs jay. Bad

Once the NFL stops becoming cool..

Their days will be numbered...

There will be successful offshoots of the NFL..

And if the NFL wants to remain king..

They better move fast..

Sheeet I aint watch one NFL game last year..

But I watched two lingerie football league games tho..

And yes exiled queen is a raging coon faggot:lol:

Guess Jay still gotta dumb it down for y’all.

Not understanding why he’s saying this is one thing.

Not understanding how not ever having an authority figure in your life may or
May not be a precursor to not respecting authority is another.

I know when Mom said no it meant maybe, when Dad said no, it meant STFU.

This is not to say Mom can’t be an authority figure, but Pops taught you to respect authority.

Not understanding the irrational critique of our people. Give the brutha a chance.

Y’all can keep protesting and burning down ur own communities, real change is gonna come from within.

Carry on......

You completely missed the whole injustice part of it. It's not just "the cops".

But Jay is saying, "Hey, it's the absent parents fault". Which we all know is bullshit.

Guaranteed 8 out of 10 people posting in all the NFL/football threads dont even bet on the games. Not even a chance at a residual return besides warm & fuzzy childhood feelings. The epitome of a high !

Whether its tv ratings, NFL/NCAA tv packages, tickets or buying merch & all of the peripheral media & products its a one way street for that fuzzy feeling.

Niggaz complain about the rocks & the cut. BUT THEY STILL BUY IT !!!

Everything was ok up until the very last sentence, he definitely could've expressed that sentiment differently.

Now was it coonish?
It damn sure wasnt pro blackish.

Cant really make the call on whether or not he did it on purpose, I feel like he should have known better. Feel like everybodys being hyper critical of jay z atm.

If someone abandons a family, it sends ripples through a generation of people. Is it the direct cause of lashing out? Could be, could not be. But to count it out is foolish and nearsighted. You’re essentially saying, “broken homes aren’t a problem in the black community.” And if that’s the case, you need to have a seat somewhere and reassess family values and it’s impact on a person.

Now i’ve seen this board do this countless times before, and I also understand the current witch hunt on Jay and folks are out here with pitch forks waiting for him to fuck up, so when and if this full interview drops, and the situation gets cleared like it always does, break out your best backpedal.

End of the day, even without the proper context, you can deduce what he’s saying which is the truth.

One of the reasons is that we don’t have a lot of black cops

You gotta knock it off man. And you a veteran bruh so I know you know better. Fuck Tariq. If you see that statement from with no name attached you say hell Nah and you know it.

More importantly there is no need to name Goodell or the owners because their complicity is already implied bruh
I’m not speaking about you but a lot of these dudes already dislike Jay to begin with. It’s the same usual suspects. So I’m already taking some of this shit with a grain of salt. A lot of this is a fake outrage. Especially if you quoting Nas and shit I already know some of these dudes are on that bullshit.

I dont know why people are shocked. This side of Jay-z has always existed....Its just he is introducing it to the mainstream public.

Remember he went behind Dame's back to do business with Lyor, once he pulled that shit I knew he was grimey.

You know to say Jay is sneaky and shit is probably fair to use Dame as a example is not a good one. He learned that crooked shit from Dame himself.

With all that money he should be investing in black self defense. The black panthers should have private investigation offices all over America and then branch out into other countries. Who in the fuck is watching them while they are watching us? How can we work to pay the killers of our ancestors to protect us when we know that money is really going into phase two genocide.

:idea:So Jay Z is cooning and has been comprised but the same people saying that

1. Have on clothing made by a white man despite the Internet full of black made clothing options

2. House/apartment owned by a white man

3. Shoes made and owned by a white man. Despite knowing the markup on those shoes. You still buy them hoes cause you want to be fresh.

4. Employed by a Trump supporting company and white boss.

5. Go to work to said white owned job and trump supporting company just to be quiet as a church mouse. Talk all that shit on BGOL but won’t say a damn thing in the white mans face

6. Have not seen or been in the hood to help do a damn thing but take any money they made from that CAC job and give it right back to a CAC owned establishment

But y’all woke and everyone else is cooning and sleep?

The implication is that most of these interactions that result in loss of life are caused by angry, disrespectful youths from one parent households that cause their own death by being aggressive and non compliant with cops. Thats victim blaming 101.. Equivocating at best. And its just flat out wrong... In any context.

The only way this is remotely acceptable is if that framing was prefaced with "Sometimes, we have kids from one parent households..." and ends with "Sometimes, we have cops who are incompetent or come from bigoted backgrounds and carry bias...." .

If the only illustration provided was one of the disobedient ghetto bastard, then he deserves all the criticism headed his way.

I can see where you’re coming from but I gotta disagree with it because that wasn’t the implication that I took from it. I didn’t get that vibe at all from this chopped up clip.

I understood it as what it sounded to me, that broken families are a problem in our community. That perhaps two parent homes are stronger than a single-parent home for a child. That the pain and trauma from a father leaving a household can adversely affect any child later in life. Outside of that, I didn’t gauge any other response other than slight bewilderment from the headline of the Tweet.

This is why I hesitate to respond to these 30 seconds to 1 minute social media clips, because as someone previously stated you can clip that whole thing to make it fit a narrative, and nine times out of 10, that’s the case.

We don’t know that the interviewer didn’t ask, “hey can you name one of the factors that plague the black community today?“

We simply don’t know, and to your point, if Jay was talking about one isolated incident, then we can have that conversation and see if he deserves full backlash, but to assume we know what he’s talking about and making final verdicts on the man seems slightly agenda driven and unappreciative to me.

I’m still trying to sort out what Jay owes us really..

Will ya look at this. First this guy says

This is simple. Fuck Jay and fuck Tariq take the names out. If this statement is posted without names attached no black men worth his melanin is going to agree.

Then I show Tupac, Denzel, and Obama saying THE EXACT SAME THING. Then mr fake militant, move the goalpost says

And. None of those quotes infer that it’s ok to murder unarmed black men because they don’t have a father.

No one ever said that bro. You’re just making it up as you go along.

In the Meek Mill case, they literally did that. They found a way to put the police on trial and reversed his original charge . So what you’re fantasizing about , he DID IT.

They’re literally running off a minute long quote and a caption from the dude who’s been pimping all these suckers with his bullshit ass movies.and dude hasn’t spent a dime of that movie money on “the people” or anything close to something related to prison reform, criminal justice, education,ANYTHING. It’s hilarious.
