Beyonce and Jay Z made an appearance at a Trayvon Martin rally in New York City on Saturday. They were among those protesting George Zimmerman's acquittal in the high-profile case.
Jay Z has been vocal about his feelings about the verdict. And in a new interview with Rap Radar's Elliott Wilson posted Wednesday on YouTube, the music mogul is even more candid.
"I was really angry, I didn't sleep for two days," Jay Z says. "I was really angry about it, that the thing that we all knew that there was still a bit of racism in America, but for it to be so blatant. If you just ask the question, ask yourself the question, 'Didn't Trayvon have the right to stand his ground?' He was being chased, he was being chased and fought back. You know, he may have won. That doesn't mean he's a criminal, he won. If you try to attack me and I defend myself, how can I be in the wrong? How is that right? This guy went to get some Skittles and go back and watch the All-Star game. He had plans... he had no intentions of robbing anyone's home."
Latest: Juror says Zimmerman got away with 'murder'
Of the recently acquitted Zimmerman, Jay Z went on to say, "We all know it was wrong. It was wrong. This guy's not a professional. First of all, you're not a professional to profile someone. A professional law enforcement officer is taught not to profile. This guy's a novice. This guy's a (effing) mall cop."
He said he hopes the new generation doesn't "see color." But, he said, "You still see that the old guard, that whole thing I'm fighting against. That old guard and their old ideas and their stubborn ways and all their ego and all their (B.S.) — it's just still there. It still exists and you just hate to believe that."

get ready.........

"...But now that I'm awake the show must go on. Concert next month and please visit the 40/40 club when you're in Florida."

Yet, he slept like a drunk baby after he collaborated for a record and tour with a proven child molester who was acquitted on a technicality for producing child porn with little black girls. :hmm:

I agree with his statement but, what is he prepared to do? I mean since he has the ears of millions of fans, and millions of dollars to do something.......

Yeah that's the most disturbing part. cacs are propping Zimmerman up like he is a hero :smh: That would never happen if the victim was white

Man, stop that... EVERYBODY knew R Kelly was a pedophile BEFORE he collaborated with Jay Z. How could Jay Z NOT know the nigga was a pedophile when his man Dame Dash was engaged to Aaliyah--whom R Kelly knocked up and married when she was 15? Put the cape down, bruh. :hmm:

Um... R Kelly said HE didn't watch the tape either. Also a "smart" man. And they stopped their tour because R Kelly's squad and Jay Z's got into a brawl and their two camps couldn't get along. I wasn't because Jay Z couldn't sleep for two days while on tour with a known pedophile.

"You still see that the old guard, that whole thing I'm fighting against."

What a valiant fight.

I believe he didn't sleep for two days like I believe that juror hurts as much as Trayvon's mom.

Nothing to do, he said they is only a little bit of racism left:

" "I was really angry about it, that the thing that we all knew that there was still a bit of racism in America, but for it to be so blatant."

No beef but a little bit and a bit can be seen in two different lights.

The word "bit" on its own without a quantifier implies small or minute. Quite a bit, though accepted as a statement of a significant amount, is actually a contradiction. A little bit, though accepted as a statement of insignificant amount, is actually redundant. But the word itself, indicates diminutive status.
