I know I'm gonna get flamed for this...

But I sincerely hope that this is CD is just "film-related" and that none of it is in the film. "AMERICAN GANGSTER" is pretty much a "period piece" (late 60s/early 70s). So other than a film score, I hope the producers are using music from that period. There's too much GOOD music from that time to be overlooked.

Does every film starring Black actors need a Rap soundtrack?

There will be an official soundtrack with music from the era. Jay-Z's album is an inspired by album, not a soundtrack.
 
Jay-Z's my favorite rapper of all time, but DAMN:smh:... :smh:this mixtape is whack. The mix/blends are HORRIBLE. The beats don't even match the flow. Just thought I'd warn others before they waste their time downloading it. I through that garbage of of the window. You probably can't see it because it BLENDS in, :lol:.
