Dude probably had some weed and his gun on him. But once again they're trying to bury this cat and put more sauce on what he's done. He flirted and tried to smash a few chicks he worked with, now hes a rapist. Gets caught with a gun and some drugs, now he's some thugged out dope dealer. He was in Mississippi? They will hit you with some crazy charges for a damn nickel bag of weed.

He was busted with hella more than "a damn nickel bag of weed!" And a bank recently sued him for $70k+ for defaulting on a loan.

Mitchell was arrested in Mississippi on felony weapons and drug charges on Wednesday. According to several reports, the actor was booked in Harrison County Jail and is facing for FOUR felony charges — two felony charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, plus two more felony charges for possession of a weapon by a felon.

According to TMZ, “Jail records indicate Jason was busted with two guns, including a Glock 19 pistol and a mini Draco AK47 semi-automatic pistol.”

Police say Mitchell had two pounds of marijuana and 1,300 doses of MDMA in his GMC Yukon during a traffic stop. Cops say the weed and ecstasy was packaged in a manner consistent with a mid-level distribution operation.

The “Straight Outta Compton” star’s rep released a statement … kinda. It focuses on Jason’s new projects, and the current pandemic we’re all facing, but barely touches on the fact that Mitchell is possibly facing years behind bars…

“Jason is at home with his family right now, working on an amazing new project. News stories move fast and oftentimes without all of the facts. This misunderstanding will be resolved shortly. We trust that the court systems blind justice will protect Jason’s rights and allow him to tell his story. During the Pandemic it’s best we focus on the importance of our Nation growing back to our full capacity.”

Actor Jason Mitchell is being accused of defaulting on a massive loan weeks after losing his job on “The Chi.”

According to court documents obtained by The Blast. Comerica Bank is suing Mitchell and his company Blackunicorn, Inc. The suit accuses the actor of breach of contact over an unpaid loan.

In December 2016, Comerica Bank says they provided Mitchell with a $60,000 loan. The bank claims Mitchell was making all required payments until June 2019. The bank accuses Mitchell of defaulting on the loan the month after he was accused of sexually harrassing his “The Chi” costar Tiffany Boone.

Comerica Bank says despite numerous demands for payment Mitchell has refused to pay up. The current balance of the loan is $59,268.50 (principal) + $3,149.46 (interest) and $145 (late charges). They say “no part of such balance has been paid.” Mitchell is being sued for $70,674.16 plus attorney fees.

According to the lawsuit, he was paying the loan off monthly from Dec 2016 thru June 2019, but then stopped completely after getting fired and hasn't made a payment since. His finances are likely strained which could explain why he's (allegedly) trafficking drugs.

Now what *I* can't understand is how he could make that many payments and the principle only dropped from $60,000 to $59, 268.50.

Riiiight.....

Like what was he paying just barely over the interest each month for over 2 years?! A few hundred...

Dude was on a TV show for 2 seasons....and had movie credits....how hard is it to pay $60K as a working and semi in-demand actor?

'Straight Outta Compton' Star Claims Drugs, Weapons, Car in Arrest Were Not His 'Straight Outta Compton' Star Denies Drugs & Guns Are His ... I was Fleeing Pandemic w/ My Fam in a Rental!!!

"Straight Outta Compton" star Jason Mitchell was trying to get straight outta dodge to a better quarantine spot when he got busted for drugs and weapons, but it's all a big mix-up ... at least according to his camp.

Mitchell's agent, Dr. Glenn Toby, tells TMZ ... the vehicle the actor was driving when he got arrested in Mississippi is not his -- and neither are the guns, 2 pounds of marijuana and 1,300 doses of MDMA cops found inside. He claims it's a friend's rental car.

According to Toby ... Jason was using the car to flee with his immediate family to a safer spot to shelter-in-place during the coronavirus pandemic, because where they were staying had become dangerous.

The agent would not elaborate, but claims Mitchell decided to leave in his friend's rental instead of hiring a car service ... due to fears of COVID-19 exposure.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson tells us ... Mitchell was initially pulled over for careless driving, and there was a woman and a minor inside. We're told the woman was not charged in the bust, and cops allowed her to leave with the child.

Our sources say the woman and child are Mitchell's family members, and they were heading to his mother's home before getting stopped and arrested.

Law enforcement declined to comment on whether the vehicle was his friend's rental car.

We broke the story ... Jason, who played Eazy-E in the N.W.A biopic, is facing 2 felony charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and 2 more felony charges for possession of a weapon by a felon.

Jail records indicate the confiscated weapons include a Glock 19 pistol and a mini Draco AK47 semi-automatic pistol.
