I've rode some of those lines & that 1st 7 yr old kid is probably on the trains for an hr or so.
Aint nobody giving a fuck abt no Japanese kids in Japan literally but bring that mentality to a major urban hub in this country & be prepared for some shock.
70s may have been aiight but after that & recently, parents in this country arent taking the chances with their seeds.
This ain't Japan where everybody basically looks the same & you have to find trouble quicker than it finds u.......

It's a culture shock when you first see it, especially coming from the states.

The thing is kids used to be able to go out and do stuff on their own in the States. Then we entered a period where all the news kept reporting about child abductions, rapes and murders. Adam Walsh and The Atlanta Child Murders were big news items when I was coming up.

There are kids like this in NY maybe not 7 but not much older. There is a family not to far from where I live in the DMV that caught lots of heat for this.

Wow. Growing up in the DMV during the 80s and 90s I rode the metro alone all the time. From 9 on up. Even on the weeknds when I was 11, taking the metro to Union Station to go to the movies. Cant do that shit today though. Damn shame.
