I'll let this one speak for itself:

quote:

"..Off The Hook, a dictionary of African American slang, in being sold in Japan to help them better understand the language used in many bigger cities like Boston, Philadelphia, and New York ..."

well, i teach culture to japanese, but not dumb ass ebonics... :smh:

this dude's book is going a bit far...

especially since most blacks over in japan are africans pretending to be african americans...

it's a blatant example of projecting the stereotype...but they'll hide behind the fact that it's prevalent in the American hip-hop that they proclaim to be so enamored with....but the shit's a cop out...they're inability to be able to differentiate hip-hop entertainment from real life Blacks in the everyday world speaks volumes about how they really see Blacks....I don't blame hip-hop, I blame Asian society for their still apparent archaic views of how Blacks talk and act....

...I try my best not to go overboard when I speak slang...that's all I can recommend for everybody...pick up a book and expand your vocabulary...that way you'll know how to speak two langauges....the language of the streets and the language of commerce....

The entire concept of "Ebonics" is insulting and unacceptable.

"Ebonics" should be replaced with "slang".

Or remove the relationship to the word "ebony".

And associating this "language" with "African Americans"......man....let me quit.
