Jameis Winston is the Black Tom Brady!!

... And Geno Smith looked like the black Steve Young this same time last year... :hmm:

In the words... LET'S PUMP OUR BREAKS... THE SEASON JUST STARTED!!!!... :hmm:

Naw dude Geno was a product of the system. This kid has it all he bout to throw for 400yds in his first game

REGARDLESS, once teams had film on Geno, IT WAS A WRAP, dude is a redshirt freshman = NO FILM, dude is KILLIN' IT right now, no doubt, let's see what happens as the season progresses!

his receivers are running their routes to a T.......every fuckin pass is on the money....

Warned?? mannn...we been knowing this...grown ass men used to go over to Hueytown and watch him play when he was 11, Was suppose to be the star QB at Hoover High but their racists ass' wanted him to play RB, which he wouldve been All-State at as well

This

Winston raw but he wouldn't have been all state at hb man

Ironically this same program is guilty of the same shit but gets pass for the Charlie Wards exception. Anquan Boldin was one of the best high school QB prospects i had ever seen and they promised the kid he would get all the snaps coming in and screwed him over. Chris Weinke honkey ass couldnt hold his jock.

Boldin was the shit in HS, my school played against him one year. Dude was the real deal, I can't believe Bowden didn't let him QB

He looked like Brady out there....just saw the highlights.....

"That was the third highest single-game NCAA QB rating of all-time at 252.24."

damn...i missed this game

ESPN has a replay at like 1am. Alot of haters in here I think, the kid is solid and the total package. Would be funny If he turned around and won the Heisman, taking some of that air out of Johnny Footballs head. Seems like a real student of the game also and Clemson vs. FSU will be must see TV for any football fan this year

there is no way in hell that Johnny Manbitch will be even in contention for the heisman. Don't you worry about that.

and McShay who has surpassed Kiper imo because McShay has been keeping it real, said Johnny Manbitch has a long way to go to even be considered a top prospect.

It's Tragic how the Panthers haven't built a strong offense around him yet. Nonetheless I'll be rooting for Jameis all year, the kids got an arm...

did he resign with them? i hope not would love for him to get out of there if they gonna just keep steve smith as his only target

go to another team and kill

I don't know about that one, bruh. Tidewater was a hotbed of talent long before AI's hype. You had everyone from Lawrence Taylor to Bruce Smith coming out of the 757. Curry was the real deal in high school. I was never convinced of his basketball hype (now that I put on the AI hype because they played the same positions), but on the football field, he was special right out the gate. He was the first freshman QB to ever start at Hampton -- he scored 76 touchdowns in his junior season.

He flatlined in college because he picked the wrong program and never developed but in the high school -- even in a graduating class that had Michael Vick -- Curry he had no peer.

It'll always be one of my great "what-ifs" if he had stayed with UVA over North Carolina.
TideWater has always been loaded with talent but they got the national spotlight in the 90s because of AI. Bruce and LT were in the 70s fam, lets not reach back that far. You had your Zos, Joe Smiths, Plaxiglass, Aaron Brooks, etc.. But AI was more celebrated than them all. I think Currys problem was that he peaked early (like Felipe Lopez). Coaching didnt help but he was also a marginal talent on the hardwood as well. The funny thing though is even though his football career was lackluster, he still put up some good career numbers.

killa cam
Cam opened the door but it was Wilson, Kap, RG3 who tore it off the hinges. Cam could have been a once in a generation black QB success story like Mcnabb before him but the young boys who followed have seemed to cement the current trend. Lets hope it stays this way.

i always say cam cause he changed the culture. its crazy that 1 season can pave the way, but it did. the people who shat on cam and ate crow, were in love with wilson and rg3 the following year.

and if cam had stunk it up, their narratives would have been totally different imo.

might go down as one of the single most important rookie seasons of my lifetime. just because of how NOW he's still the talent he is, to go along with kap, wilson, rg3.. and all of them are the faces of the franchise.

matt flynn is probably gonna commit suicide.. he lost his job to a black dude 2 seasons in a row.

that'll be kap, wilson, freeman, vick, cam, rg3, pryor, smith, and then manuel will be starting... a quarter of the league will have black quarterbacks leading their teams.

shit on our squad b.j. daniels will be #2 behind kap by the end of the year so we'll have 2 black qb's back to back

Anybody who thinks McShay is a great scout remember he had Andre Woodson as a 2nd round pick and convinced him to leave Kentucky jr year, I don't think he was even drafted in th e5th round. Basically he was out of football before his rookie year.

Mayock and Chavious are the scouts I go to for my money.

Truth, how do we know he isn't another Gina Smith?

I witnessed Aquain's skill at QB when they played my brothers highschool for the state championship.. We called him Super Vick at the time dude was a BEAST and damn near played every position..He almost beat my brother's team single handedly..But they lost:dance::cool:

When i found out he was going to fsu i was sure they'd place him at QB at least once or twice but like you said FSU and Bobby's punk ass had a knack for doing that good old boy shit..Hell CW didn't play much until his junior year..Im glad to see Jimbo isnt holding back..

Wow... this kid had an AMAZING game. Good footwork... good arm strength and very accurate, doesn't think run first at all. Is looking to get the ball out of his hands. I didn't see him go through his progressions too often but then again he didn't have to. Having a solid offensive line helps too... this kid had a FANTASTIC game.

that might have been then, but who he is now is someone who is objective and on the money and not out of touch with the skill set of people. after the cam shit, his eyes have been opened in my observation.

all them dudes, mayock too were questioning whether cam had what it took pointing to the read option offense as a diss questioning his arm strength etc etc... shit that seems comical right now. they were on it.

It's more to show his punk ass "See..back to back freshman Heisman winners...You ain't all that you bitch ass cac" He thinking because he is the first freshman heisman winner it's gonna be along time before we see another one..I doubt it with Winston's performance tonight. If not Winston then it will happen sooner than later.

I notice we do this man and then soon as shit gets a little rough man we give them hell. We usually be the harshest critics of our own.......

their our boys our homies

we know the odds and we know what the media will try to say and do. so we lift them up..premature most times yup but fuck it

I feel you. Ay that's how its suppose to be. But I also notice we bring them down harder than anyone too when they go through a rough patch. All i'm saying is I think same way we bring them up we should keep them there.

im with you on that too. its delicate. cause same time we can't defend trash... when there are much better representatives out there.

kid had a good game though, for me teddy is still #1 in college football black or white

What I want to see is a Black pocket quarterback get drafted high. Every Black QB drafted high has always been, "athletic" "mobile" "dual threat" other than Byron Leftwich. The fastest that Leftwich ever ran was when his teammates carrying him down the field (still one of the baddest team shits I ever saw in my life as a sports fan). When will a black QB come in and be able to do as Brady does, stand in the pocket and deliver rather than be expected to run all the time.

I feel that until a Black QB does that we still haven't gotten to where we need to be which is largely ignoring color and paying more attention to what is on the field than the color of their skin or the other shit that doesn't matter.

Can we see a black pocket QB, drafted top 5 please?

sorry godofwine you're totally wrong on this one

Cam newton was a pocket passer his rookie year and they changed it to the option offense last season. he threw for 4g's strictly from the pocket his rookie season.

if you mean you want a black quarterback who isn't athletic good luck with that. We are natural athletes. None of that has anything to do with pocket passing.

if you want me to dig up the stats I will, but Kap and Wilson and Rg3 FLOURISHED at throwing from the pocket... thing is they can also do what those statue's in the backfield can't do, which is keep the play alive and keep their heads up and throw on the run.. what you think big ben does? same shit Russel Wilson was doing last season.

And brady wasn't drafted top 5 either.

plenty of white bread's have been though and don't count for much either.

don't let the athleticism tag be a hinder to what you see on the field.

Them white folks already don't like the fact that there are so many in the first place.

Took them bastards a decade to change the tuck rule, but only 1 season to change the rules when hitting a qb if they're running the read option

which is a crock of full fledged shit by the way.

because the read option is nothing but a fake hand off, or play action pass. you're showing the ball and faking it to the running back and that's all. that's been a part of the game forever, suddenly because they can't stop the qb...because black people are doing it and taking advantage of the holes it opens up and using those running lanes to destroy the defense... now you can be hit if you show that during the play? that's all it is. It doesn't make you a runner, it doesn't give you the option to run, so you shouldn't be treated like a runner and be allowed to be hit. peep game

they'll say well the qb now because of this SPECIFIC type of play is deemed a runner right?

but the old fashioned play action or fake pitch or other shit gives the qb the old protections.. why?

they'll say well it's different because it gives the qb the option to run..

which is crushed when you point out that every time the qb drops back... every qb from tom brady, to mark sanchez, LITERALLY has the option to run the ball, there is no rule that says if you take a drop back you have to pass is there? no.. didn't think so..

too much success, they're trying to discourage it. they know its here to stay.. you see they ain't make any rules to try and stunt the growth of the wildcat did they? NOPE

but this? proactive like a motherfucker huh

thing that they fucked up on is the fact that all of the qb's they're trying to stop.... Newton, Kap, Wilson, Rg3... are still ELITE pocket passers who can make EVERY THROW and are intelligent enough to grasp ANY offensive concepts..

Woah woah woah now, why are people knocking Bowden for Boldin? Boldin tore his acl his freshman year and was behind after that. Boldin moving to Wr ended up working out VERY WELL for him and I don't see him complaining. Dude has over 10,000 yards receiving for his NFL career and was drafted in the 2nd round out of FSU.

Also during the Bowden years FSU QBs did not start until their jr year. That ended in 2001 when Chris Rix started as a redshirt freshman.
