Two things man...
One, for me, it's personal. My family is from 5th Ward. They grew up with J Prince, and they all know him. So when you have first hand accounts telling you this was a bad man and how he moved, you listen. Couple that with the fact that this dude is always doing for that community and is constantly surrounded by goons loyal to him, and he becomes somebody that you don't want to tangle with if you're money ain't war ready.
Two, this may sound crazy but a classmate of mine that worked for rap a lot told me there was a time they had to pay Puff a visit personally behind some money owed to J Prince during the beginning stages of Bad Boy Records...
I like the old J.Prince better than the new one he is becoming.
