Iverson Mulling Memphis, Miami,...Who Cares? Who Knows?

The Grizzlies will pay more..mid level exception for around $5M (1-season). The Heat will offer a lesser amount of money...around $1.8M, and provide a more competitive team. Were it not for the existence of D-Wade, the team would not be that competitive.

It's said that the Grizzles would "benefit" from Iverson's presence by having a "name" on the roster capable of improving game-day attendance, and hopefully giving positive advice to his teammates on all matters, except team practice.

On the other hand, the Heat are providing a not-so subtle hint that they are serious in managements' attempt at improving the team in hopes of discouraging D-Wade's possible departure, following next season. Signing Allen Iverson will definitely NOT accomplish that end! Signing Iverson would be akin to mixing oil and water. A blend that will not make. Plus, there are not enough basketballs.

Where A.I. will land, nobody knows. Even though he does not need the money, Memphis will probably be his team of choice. Can you imagine the influence--positive or negative--he would render. He could even eliminate 'practice', altogether.

Like I said A.I. would bring out the locals to actually show up to a game. Memphis needs all the help they can get.

Question: Is he a free agent? Or is he technically still a member of the Pistons? If he's still on that team, he might as well stay put now. Being that they seem to be getting rid of the players from the title teams, Iverson will now be exactly where he wants to be: As the center of the offense. If I'm not mistaken, the only one left is Hamilton now. Iverson can boss all the rest of them dudes around and give them "the look" when he wants to deflect blame from himself. And by the end of the season, the A.D.D. generation will be talking about how little "help" he has and how he never has any good players on "his" teams.

That's why I think he'll get with the Grizzlies. Technically, A.I.,'s a free agent. Even if he were not, he would be of no use in Detroit. Rip Hamilton is Shooting Guard --du jour, and Rodney Stuckey is at the Point. If a veteran coach like Larry Brown couldn't deal with the A.I. personality, the new coach, Kuester would be lost. A.I. is definitely a player without a home< as in team>.

Like I said, he didn't fit in Detroit. The Clippers cheap-ass owner wants him on the team, so he may end up there. Also, Denver is suddenly without a starting PG, and I don't know howq confident they are starting J.R. Smith. I know I wouldn't be.

Huh? I thought they still had Chauncey Billips. Nevertheless, A.I. is DEFINITELY NOT in the Nuggets plans. Plus, they just recently signed the T'Wolves #18 pick, Ty Lawson(PG)--$1.198M, and are hoping to sign the Piston's Aaron Affalo(PG)-if they can pry him away from Dumars (who may want some more cap space, needed to sign another 'big man'.

I know that..but those plans were before Danthay Jones signed with Indiana. The Nuggets need another post player and they lost out on Rasheed. I don't know who they can get.

That being said, they would have three PGs and J.R. Smith at the two a backcourt of Billups and Iverson is not bad. The only way J.R. would work is if he moves without the ball like Rip does (or Reggie Miller) But that's another post.

They got Affalo in a trade a few days ago. Don'tknow much about him, but he'll probably challenge Smith And Jones for playing time
