Is Your Neighborhood on The 25 most Dangerous List

So according to this list Atlanta has 3 neighborhoods in the top 25.

1. THE BLUFF

2. PITTSBURGH

3. SUMMERHILL

In the 90's I live in Summerhill and down the street from Pittsburg, but real talk neither one of them had ANYTHING on Eastwick off Candler Road (surprised that shit ain't number one on the list, the hellhole was like Fallujah). That's the worst place I ever lived in my life! Man, college years was ROUGH in the ATL if you lived off campus .

Damn what I'm saying Chicago isn't fucking around.

That's the majority of bk cats I know, you can't tell em NOTHING. If cats think all of us from NYC are self absorbed and egocentric then brooklyn cats must be that in it's worse form  but I guess I can't really fault em, most of my dudes that are FROM brooklyn haven't really traveled anywhere outside of our 5 boroughs so they dead ass feel like brooklyn is the center of the universe

I agree and Im not that shock at Brooklyn not being on that list considering how much diverse it has become over the years.

This list is based off of per capita and not raw crime numbers. Thats the reason a lot of cities and neighborhoods are left off the list. The numbers are based on every 1000 people versus violent crimes reported and are usually in areas with less people than others.. The more people the less likeliness of being a victim of a violent crime. Im sure other neighborhoods are far worst but usually more populated. Which may give you like a 1 in 20 chance of being a victim in violent crime. Per Capita is the reason why Camden NJ is rated the highest in crime every year.

I know where I live wouldn't be on there. I moved in about a month back and since then I've seen 2 snow bunnies jogging at 5am. Shit had me like wtf.

Chattanooga #10?! Man that's the white folks getting down like that then in Chatt!:smh:

Louisville?! Damn not Smoketown! I kind of knew that was going to be where they were talking about:smh: Had family that lived there. It's a little town that is full of crime

All of the projects are located downtown in Louisville so that's why its poppin off like that. I used to work near that area in Cincinnati on business and we had to drive through it every evening and that whole area looks like some shit out of the 70's bronx. Torn down building mad vacant building, etc. Around X Mas we was driving to work and saw this long ass food line that was like blocks long. Shit made me count my blessings. My co-workers was always shook driving to the hotel every night.

23. Kansas City, Mo.
Neighborhood: Independence Ave.
Found within ZIP code: 64106
Predicted annual violent crimes: 82
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 81.97
My chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 12

no surprise that my city made the list,,, but i know for a FACT they picked the wrong zip code,,, had they chose 64128 or 64130, kc would easily be in the top 3,,, not proud of that,,, i'm just saying,,,

memphis & kc are 2 of the most violent cities in the country,,, disagree if you wish

without a doubt, i'm calling bullshit on this list,,, because i've lived in ATL & it is far from the most dangerous city, yet it made the list 4 times,,, & i've been to many cities,,,

I'm with you, and anywhere between 27th and Prospect and 63rd and Prospect is fair game for this list in KCMO as well. The area they selected is mainly Hispanic still, isn't it?

Where are the FL cities???

Liberty city???? (Miami)

Overtown???? (Miami)

Miami Gardens????

Opa Locka?????

riviera beach??????

those are exactly the areas i'm speaking of bro (& everything in bewteen there),,, you know your kc,,, the zip code they listed is basically white trash, drug attic area,,, almost every month you hear about a motel room catching fire because someone set up a meth lab down there,,, not necessarily a dangerous place,,, just a sleezy, low life area,,, but yes, there are mexicans in that area also

Obviously most of yall didn't understand my first post.

Yall niggas are either WeTallDid or yall just cant read. Yall keep saying how yall dont understand how certain neighborhoods are listed when you know that other areas are worst. Here you go. A crime comparison from 2006 with "Per Capita" and "Raw Numbers".

30310 is where I used to live, hell yeah it is.:smh::smh:

Same here (off Stewart Ave). I use to hang out in Carver Homes and Pittsburgh. I just moved back to Atlanta and my moms wants to know why I didn't move back closer to the neighborhood. :smh: :smh: :smh:

No thank you. I'll take Smyrna and nice piece of mind.

Every time they come out with these list I spot BS.

#1 and #15 are BS.
If anyone is familiar with those areas and the other fucked up neighborhoods in the Chi then yall should know its BS also.

They had a Chicago neighborhood as #1 on the list a year. And that neighborhood was basically a zombie land because of gentrification. I know for a fact that the reason why some of these moderately violent neighborhoods in the Chi are getting worse is because Chicago is a sanctuary city for illegals and also because of the migration of ignorant project niggas who's baby mommas/family members got section 8 vouchers which gave them more options.

BTW....Im not labeling all Black project people, illegals Mexicans and people with section 8.

I could delve deeper into the subject at hand...but I wont.
