Is this an accurate comparison between rich and poor people

Some rich people are wealthy because they are criminal, some got wealthy through hard work, or being a racial opportunist. It is much more nuanced than this.

There is some Indian billionaire, setting up shell companies to inflate the stock value of his company similar to Enron.
Sam Bankman Fried
Bernie Madoff

I have caught numerous people spying trying to steal information to enhance their wealth.

Too many of y'all love blaming poor people for being poor cause it makes you feel better about yourself. You're really on here acting like poor people can't plan for the future but when you're living paycheck to paycheck your future is only as far as a little bit of money you have left will take you.

The majority of rich people that a bunch of y'all in here worship didn't even really make all their money themselves they just happen to be really lucky.

Elon Musk father was rich the man owned an actual emerald mine.

Jeff Bezos family was well off he was able to borrow $250k seed money to make amazon.

I'll always get amazed because we know a bunch of you dudes on here are living paycheck to paycheck but youll be on here talking about "yeah the poor stupid".....make it make sense.

A thread about poverty mindset has people calling names, shouting down opinions and overall proving the point. Nitpicking the video isn’t learning, it’s exposing you. Being born rich with a poverty mindset will have you broke. Being born 7ft tall and blowing millions after you stop playing. Kanye and Kyrie fucking up millions after they fought to earn them. Marrying the wrong person, or even the right person; it all comes from a mindset.

How many slaves had the capability of being rich several centuries ago in America? Was it cause their mindsets that kept them poor or a system such as slavery keeping them poor? So if you can agree slavery held people back from being capable of being rich than it isn’t about a mindset it’s about a system.. there’s many other systems across the world from centuries ago till now that hold many demographics from achieving wealth

See this is what I don't get. Jeff Bezos went from having $250,000 to being the richest man in the world and people try to act like it all came from a handout.

Granted, that's a lot more money than most people get to start their business, especially back in the 1990s. However, acting like this seed money was the sole cause for his wealth is more than a little disingenuous.

Investing does not mean buying shares. There are so many ways to purchase assets. Assets are anything that hold their value. Stocks are not even the best way to grow your money. Stop thinking limited and listen to the concept.

You could have invested money in a t shirt printing machine instead of Jordan’s. If you spent $100 on the machine and made $400, that is a 300% increase

Instead of taking that $400 dollars and buying a liability that has no value, look for another asset to purchase
You’re talking bullshit , poor people don’t have extra money to waste on bullshit. I’m not talking about broke people I’m talking about poor people.

Mindset has a LOT to do with someone's health and wealth. The problem comes when people act like it's the only thing that matters.

I had a friend of mine who was always on that positive thinking tip. The kind of guy that would walk into a Bentley dealership and ask to sit in the showroom car so he could visualize owning one. He was always performing positive thinking exercises prescribed by the likes of Grant Cardone and Kevin Trudeau.

Meanwhile, he worked as a housekeeper for a rich white family. Cleaning the toilets and doing their laundry for less than minimum wage. Swearing up and down that the father was going to teach him the secrets of being rich.

I pointed out a few things. Mainly that Kevin Trudeau is currently doing fed time for fraud. And that if this father taught him how to be a millionaire there would be no one left to clean his house. My friend accused me of having a negative mindset.

Long story short, he ended up marrying this white woman in Las Vegas. She got him smoking crack and 3 years later he was living in a homeless shelter begging for spare change in front of a Target.

No. Man, you know nothing about the rich.

I don't think the video properly compares the differences between being rich and not, but rather it does point out the differences between being wealthy and not. For one wealthy people view having money as more responsibility that has to be properly managed in order to get more money while none wealthy people view it as the be-all to the end-all, the finish line toward accomplishments, or the state in life where you do less while your money works harder.

I agree, but it goes even deeper than that.

About a month ago my BM and our son went to a family gathering. He brought his iPad and charger so that he could play video games. While he was at the gathering his cousin stole the charger.

His mother was extremely mad. Telling him he should have kept a closer eye on it. Telling him not to trust family. Especially since she needed that charger for her laptop so she could complete her graduate assignments.

Finally I pulled my son aside and told him "don't ever tell your mom this, but if that charger was so damn important she should have bought two of them and left one at the house. That's on her, not you."

Investments don't have to be stocks, bonds, rental properties, or even business equipment. Sometimes the difference between success and failure can be as small as a $20 accessory.
