Is This a good Laptop & Price?

It looks pretty good, the only thing I'm not crazy about is the 4-cell battery. That is going to give you some crappy battery life. Otherwise if that's what you want then go for it. The price isn't terrible, tho you could possibly find some cheaper.

Trying to get something kinda new looking. I got a Dell D600 that I use for my self that's real cool, But this will be for my daughter starting college.

Good price but I'd rather have discrete graphics (geforce 8800 or higher). But it's not bad for school. I paid the same price for an HP with less specs a couple years ago so you're making out pretty good.

I go here for all my Dell deals for friends and co-workers. They have HP and other company deals as well. Like right now HP throws in a free printer with some of their laptops.
